On the rattle issue- just remember to get some sort of wrap. It acts like a bra that will hold that button a bit, and keep it from rattling.

And I just setup my istick30 with the atlantis, using my favorite juice, which I bought in 3 and 6 nic, going down from 12. And I hate it! hah. This is blowing my mind. In fact, I'm starting a thread about this: sub ohming sucks so far. My flavor is all wrong. Ugh, why did I think I was capable of change....

Interesting, I am getting an Atlantis from the PIF thread so this doesn't sound promising.

I don't think it's the tanks fault...I think I'm just too set in my ways with my juice. This is more of a juice flavor issue I'm having I think. I knew Nicotine had a flavor, but it's like night and day. The tank seems nice, and tons of clouds, but it's like starting from scratch. This could be me being a bit of a sub n00b.

I just joined your other thread, I'm a sub noob as well.

When I took the coil off the base I saw a lot of liquid inside the base. It seems that the seal/washer of the coil isn't sufficient and the liquid is leaking down towards the air holes. I made sure to tighten it as best I could but it didn't make any difference.

On the coil/head assembly, there should be an opaque, flattened o-ring above the threads, against the bottom of the head. Take a toothpick and make sure the o-ring is laying flat.

Note: The Earl (iStick) on FT also comes in several new colors: Gold, Grey, Pink, Purple and Red that looks red! $23.00 Wow!

$22.87 EARL 2200mAh Variable Voltage / Wattage Rechargeable Battery - 3.0-5.5V / 2.0-20W / Euro plug adapter / purple at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

It's only $21.73 when going through the Vaping Discounts link being a sponsored discount automatically applied once you arrive at FT while you still see the other price until the discount is applied once in your shopping cart. Sometimes there may be a coupon code as part of the post there to use depending on which vendor's deal is seen since it goes day by day.

Yeah I have 3 of them now, no problems with them at all (yet) LOL. Waiting on my Cloupor Mini to show up now. should get it by Friday (fingers crossed)

The toss up now if I even go with anything else would be between the 50w version still coming or the 65w Smok M65 or M65 Plus one being a single replaceable 18650 mod with the M65 Plus being twin sealed 18650s in that one. Both have Bluetooth capability for IPhone users not that I bother with the HIGH high priced gadgets that company puts out!

Presently I am still trying to break in the small piece of spring I put into the Bending Adapter when that got fixed where I won't be needing a paper clip of something else to push in on the clasp itself but will then be able to use the button without one of the two springs popping out of place. I still have the 510/eGo adapter on with a beauty ring for the Nautilus mini on one in case I decide to swap tanks to an eGo threaded. Yet I can still fold the tanks up on both to take one along for the ride while out on the go. If and when one goes I simply grab the 30w or 50w version to replace it with hopefully still able to fit the bending adapter on one of those? With the wider flange at the top of the newer ones I doubt those will fit however.

Too much flavor? Too cool? Too hot?

You've been around these parts a while. So I don't need to tell you to try adjusting the wattage up/down until you find your sweet spot.

Don't worry, I had the same issues dropping from 12 to 6 last month as well. I probably could have done it, but the difference in throat hit was a major issue for me. I started craving cigarettes more because of it and eventually gave in and had some. Hadda restart the clock again last week, but no slip ups after I've gone back to 12.

I don't sub ohm either, but I've never had a device capable of it. Wouldn't hurt to dabble once I get this new istick.

I recently bought the smok m50 but after it arrived I felt is was slightly too thick and big. One part of me thought I was just over thinking because I used to have the istick 20 until it croaked on me. I threw it away so I couldnt compare. Anyways I recently ordered the istick 30 watt and it was confirmed. The istick really got their dimensions right. It just FEELs perfectly small and even though the m50 is only sllliiightly larger, it feels too big. Here is a picture of them side by side. SO happy with the istick 30. The pin feels GREAT. The istick 20 pin with my spheroid left a gap, but the new one sits flush. Just lovely!!

As you know, I really liked this post of your, skjames. And thanks again.

Hi my cheer me up girl. I spent 6 hours in emergency yesterday night/morning. Thought I was having a stroke, heart checked out OK but the right side of my face is partially paralyzed (Bells Palsy) got a gazillion pills to take for it. Old soldiers never die; they just fade away." ;)

Oh Fergie...... :( I AM sorry to hear this. Please keep us posted on your progress! And speedy healing to you, hon.

Not sure if this was posted yet-- pretty comprehensive review of the mini. The more I see of this lil fella the more I think I want one. Nice tiny emergency back up when out and about

Jusss do eeet! For the adorbs factoid alone. Get one!

Just gave my Istick a little makeover using vinyl wrap - took it apart first.

Very nice, Mr. Thread Initiator Bon*o. ;)

I can't get by the height/Mah ratio. If it was 1300 at least...(altho I'm sure to buy one anyhows eventually).

1300 at least, eh? Wow, I still recall the days of 650 mAh eGos. (Wait. I still vape one.)

I know I'll end up with four of the darn things(10,20,30,50w)-- inevitable

Enabler!!!!!!!

Four of each, for me.

You, too!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure those bvc coils are the proper ones for your Vivi Nova bdc. Anyone else confirm that for Mr Stein?

Confirming. Bike, I use a couple of the old Vivi Nova tanks and the Aspire BVC replacements are the kat's knees.

I'm really surprised--in a good way that the 30w is pretty much going for the same price as the 20w. They definitely could have charged more given the apparent fixes to the 20w's issues and the extra 10 watts. Very smart on Eleaf's part--assuming the problems are ironed out they've made a pretty strong statement to their customers and...their competition. If someone told me a year ago that something this size, with these specs could be had for $35-$40 I'd say they were nuts. Things are getting very interesting.

If you haven't done so yet check out http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/variable-voltage-apv-discussion/640761-little-itty-bitty-mods-under-100-a.html to see what's new. Maybe suggest some new columns for the spreadsheet :D

YOU are in SO much trouble, dude!!!!!!!!!! :D

I tried that too. I changed the coil and seem to be getting the same problem. I'm also getting liquid in my mouth and vapor coming out of the air holes. I'm not sucking in too fast either. I'm ready to give up on this thing.

I hate to say this but my knock-off nautilus mini is far better than this authentic craptastic thing.

I got the genuine article here and not one iota of a problem seen yet in a month's time! I think the clone may yet prove to be the genuine and the one you thought was the real deal may turn out to be the clone! Someone pulled a fast one or you got a bad one since each Aspire tank here so far has been working out much better then anything else previously checked out!

I checked the scratch and check code. The new tank that arrived today in the mail is definitely the authentic one. I got the 1st tank which was unknowingly a clone a few weeks ago and is working just fine.

Funny you say sweet...that's exactly it. Way, way too much flavor. Granted I've only tried the one, but it's my favorite :/

Edit- just saw your post in my thread, thanks. Oy vay....

Rachel,

I actually don't own a Nautilus Mini or full-sized for that matter. There are a couple of good Nautilus threads here on ECF. Others on this thread are probably better able to recommend a good one. I know MANY people who swear by their Nautilus Minis. Don't give up quite yet. There is help to be had!

Can somebody kindly point her in the right direction?

Thanks!

I've been using my iStick 30W all night; took it to work.

my KFL+ clone stayed firmly in place and did not back out while it was in my pocket like it would on the original 20W. The fire button is firm when pressed, and only rattles when not in contact with a digit and I shake the mod. I had no phantom click issues, except the time I was wearing gloves in the car, but I think I just couldn't feel the button and didn't actually press it.

I've been vaping @ 13 watts all night long. On the 20W original, I could scarcely get into the double digits without burning or dry hit issues. The vape has been steady, smooth and tasty @ 13 watts.

Right now, I am as happy as a pig in **** :)
