Here's what I've figured out after multiple builds on the Lemo 2. It likes large diameter coils and lots of wick. It will pull juice. I pre-ordered this cause I have 2 original lemos. This was tricky to get it wicking right. The vacuum trick helps, but this was the icing on the cake for me.
I had some problems wicking it, too. I had a lot of dryhits in the beginning (urgs).

Now with a twisted 26g on 3.5mm and a LOT of KGD it runs fantsatic.

I've got to be honest. I'm a bit jealous of all you who are nailing this RTA with high VG juices. I'm still not quite there. It's better then it was originally, but after a handful of pulls, I get the harsh hit. I'm fairly certain its not a hot spot (i check when the tank is empty), and I usually end up doing a few sealed pulls to pull more juice into the chimney section. Maybe I'm not leaving enough wick. I cut a mm above the juice channel, thin it out, then plaster it along the walls of the deck. I check to make sure the channels are free and clear before I put it all together. Still not there.
You tried this wick?

This looks interesting. I've seen a ton of wicking vids but never seen this one.
I'm going to try this for sure.
I hate a dry hit..but especially a burnt hit...gagggggg...
Thanks for posting!
You're welcome buddy.

Just give me a little heads up how it turns out for you. I'm not in the need for higher VG juice wicks. Yet.

I was wrong, it was another hot spot. Seems my spaced coils are more prone to hot legs or hot spots on the coil. I redid the coil on a 3.5 bit, 24 gauge nichrome, 8 wraps. Came out to about .7 ohms on my eleaf. Its better, still futzing around with the wick though. I have a pancake wick in there now and its good, but not quite perfect. It just seems like those channels are to narrow to move max vg juices through. I end up having to do primer pulls after chaining it for abit.

What's the secret to the spaced coil?
I have never tried one but seems there is a good number of builds that make good use of the spaced coils.
I am going to try one tomorrow and see how it works though I feel I will have some of the same issues you are having with the hot legs/spots...which I don't see how to prevent. Never seen a vid or any input on how to handle this problem.
Thanks for for the input!!

I have mixed feelings with the Lemo 2.

If I were allowed to take the build out without emptying my juice would be allot more excited. Good idea but, I think they rushed it. Also the juice refill hole is a tad to small, works but, still to small. I still use it. The Billow 2 Is my next big tank investment. I feel they nailed it. Nothing is wrong with bottom fill as long as it never leaks.

Im with you on this, the Billow 2 will be my next purchase, though for slightly different reasons, i just want something that can handle thick juice. The Lemo isnt quite there. I dont know how RT was getting that Delta 2 to wick so well, but then again it could have wider channels then the Lemo 2. I have a cthulhu as well, and once the wicks were done right, that think takes max vg like a champ. The Billow 2 has similiar channels from what I've seen. I'd prefer a top fill on it, but a pop off pop on is just as good.

Well I took the plunge and tried the pancake and I am really liking it so far.
I have some snap, pop and crackles with a spit or two but I do like it. Seems to handle the juice a bit better than the standard build.
Not running heavy VG so don't know how it will handle more than the 50/50 I'm running now.
You seem to have more trouble with the heavier VG but for me it may be my favorite coil/wicking set up if I can get the snap, pop and crackle out of it!!

Snap crackle pop!! I was just having that problem on a dripper this morning, nothing had changed on my setup etc but I was using a new chuff top vs a normal mid/wide bore drip tip... It wasnt pleasant! I spent some time hunting around here and found another member who said spaces between the wire hold juice drops, they heat too rapidly and pretty much boil vs vaporize. He suggested a rebuild, more surface area if you can (lower gauge wrapped to same ohms) but at least to watch any spacing between microcoil wraps. I was skeptical because I always check for hot spots etc... Turns out, no I had no hot spots, but I did have a minor gap between 2 wraps. It still heated evenly, but I began to be more convinced the person here may be right (wish I could remember who/where!!) - anywho, I rebuilt and voila. No more spitting. I have yet to rebuild the Leme yet tonight but I'm hopeful. Maybe it'll work for you too? *fingers crossed for good luck!!

I got the Billow 2 before I got my Lemo 2. I took the Lemo 2 out of the box long enough to toss a build in it and vape a full tank. After that it went right back in the box. The Lemo 2 is a good tank. But it could have been so much better.

I would consider a Lemo 3, only if the juice channels were widened out. I just threw another build on it, 6 wraps, 24 gauge nichrome, 3.5 mm ID. Wicked it with KGD, left the channels wide open, thinned out the wick from the top, and left about a mm clear from the deck. Still getting dry hits or a hot spot. I'm gonna need to find someone to drill this ....... out.

I have a bit more of cotton touching the deck, but not blocking the channels. I can imagine that your juice is not reaching the cotton, or cant get enough liquid up through the thinned cotton..I have zero problems with it keeping up on .7, 3mm build, with rayon or kgd. Oh, and thats with max vg..

I broke it down and did a redo with the same coil build...24 ga K on a 3 mm ID at .8 ohms....but I did a shorter cut on the cotton.
The decrease in cotton helped a great deal and not it only no more than one 7.5 quake at the peak of the heat..then it just a few small gurgles but no popping on the tongue now.

I am using a "spaced" coil so don't know how to prevent them from holding drops. I did not have any 26 g wire but I'm going to get some and try that and run the spaces a little further apart.
But...I do not have any dry hits or burned cotton....that I love!!

So you left the cotton thick, right next to the juice channel...did you plaster it against the wall to leave the channel clear or leave it fluffed right above the channel? I can get a few hits chaining with no dry hits, but after 3 or 4 then I get the burnt hit.

I cut it so, that it just touches the deck, then i put some liquid on and plaster it against the wall. Will try to post a pic, once i empty my tank. But however you wick it, if you see a bubble after every hit, you should be fine ;)
