Hi everyone, I'm very new, so sorry if this has been covered before. I've been reading around quite a bit and can't find it.

I need a source for propylene glycol. Checked Walmart, Walgreens, Michaels, RiteAid and came up with nothing. I have found a source online at Revival Animal Heath Store. It comes in a gallon container for $23 I believe (plus s/h) It says "nothing added" but no one at the 800-number could tell me the % purity. Is this good enough quality for vaping? And if not, what is a sensible online source?

Revival Animal Health's is USP grade. It's what I have.

Do they have the ingredients listed anywhere? Is it food grade?

Same as walrus's source.. USP grade... That means safe for human consumption. They are the same price per gallon as well.

hi all, i'm new to this and am waiting until i have so cash so i can buy a starter kit and extra supplies... but that hasn't stoped me from researching and trying to figure out the best stuff for me... i've been thinking about the liquid... i really wanted to go 0 nic so i was wandering if i could replace the nic juice with something else... (I wanted to make my own) has anyone used hyssop extract... hyssop is supposed to be good for the lungs and people breath the steam (on purpose) when they make the tea... especially if they have a cold... i don't know if the extract would be same even though it is made from the dried flowers... it's supposed to be very fragrant which i was hoping would give a good taste and throat hit(?)...

i was wandering to if there is anything you can use other than pg or vg... are they strictly to produce a good vap or is there another reason its in there... i feel like i've been smoking these nasty cigs for toooo long and that anything is better than them but my mom is pretty freaked about what they use pg for... i want her to try the ecig too and shes not as sure about it as i am...

Hi everyone. New poster here.

I'm able to purchase some Loranne flavouring but am clueless as to how much to purchase. They either come in 1oz ($6) or 1/8oz(2.50). Clearly the 1oz is the better price when it comes to value but for experimental purposes, I might not even want that much. how much would 1/8oz (3ml) of flavouring get me when it comes to carts for a standard DSE901? 1 cart? 5 carts? I purchased a vapesmart 901 and it hasn't come in but I plan to go nuts on flavouring.

she went online and looked up propelyne glycol... however it's spelled... and the read the list to me... which i had already done myself when i was researching the ecig... it said it was used in antifreeze but one of the first things on the list was tobacco products... duh we are already taking in pg then with every cig we smoke right... plus i told her there was a food approved kind... she's just nervous... i know inhaling anything into our lungs is not the best thing we could be doing for our lungs but after 11 years of smoking analogs e cigs have got to be better than them... i think it's my only option for quiting... i plan on going no nic but i need something to get me through the withdrawls... hand to mouth is the worse thing for me... suckers and twizzlers did not help... patches and gum... i was gonna try the medication but i didn't see much hope in that because of the hand to mouth... anyway... i want her to quit too... i've got my husband on board... it's actually his mom but i love her like my own... and i want us all to be really really old together... anyway i was just curious if there is anything we could use instead of the pg or vg... i planned on using the pg for myself but like i said shes alil nervous about it... any advice would be very much appreciated... thanks yall...

I'm looking at the LorAnn flavouring oils described as "Highly-concentrated, non-alcoholic, and unsweetened gourmet flavouring. Don't let the tiny bottle fool you; a very small amount is packed with flavour and aroma. Use in candies, chocolates, ice cream, baking, or anywhere an extra bit of flavour is desired."

50/50 mixes of pre-flavored juice work well too,
especially if you are in a hurry and just need to
save some precious money.

Easiest recipe evah-

15 ml Insert PG/VG juice here
15 ml opposite (pg to vg, vg to pg)

That is not the best for atomizers, and does have a lighter flavor, but, 50 cents of vg saves you 5.00, even less cost for PG, so not bad volume to cost wise.


If you cant do pg or vg, may i suggest these ratios.

VG- 70 %
Distilled water or vodka 0-25%
Flavoring(vary by strength of flavor, repectively) 5-30%

***Note, some flavorings themselves contain PG,
so watch that in case of allergies, etc.***

PG - 80-90 % pg
Distilled water or Vodka 5-15%
Flavoring 5-20% (based on flavor strength.
*****Note, some flavorings themselves contain VG, though not as common
as PG, so watch that in case of allergies, etc.***

I'm sorry, i'm having a little confusion here when it comes to the VG/PG.

The LorAnne oils come in 3.7ml bottles or i can buy a 1oz. Would these be the right product I'm purchasing? I have no problem with buying the 1oz bottles, Just making sure that I'm buying the right stuff.

So at this point, assuming that I buy the right LorAnn flavouring, what I'll have is:

1x Unflavored 36 eJuice (30ML)
1x LorAnne Flavour (whatever ml)

would I be mixing 1 part eJuice, 1 part Flavour?

thakns for clearing that up for me. I can't stress enough that I'm new

AnimeFur's recipe says VG- 70 % and Distilled water or vodka 0-15%. Is that a supplement for the eLIquid? If i were to use my eLiquid, would it be:

5-20% LorAnn flavour
80-95% (depends on my flavour %) eLIquid

Forgive me, I haven't the time right now (but will later) to read the entire thread, but may I cut 36mg commercial e-liquid down with just glycerine? I purchased Wilton glycerine at Michaels and hope this will work.

But PG is the NON-TOXIC type of antifreeze. PG is also the base for almost all the baking and candy flavorings I've seen. It also has medical uses and some testing and even approvals there.

No, I don't believe you can use anything other than PG or VG or you'll not have any vapor at all.

Yes it works well but is a little thick if cut 50/50. Adding flavors makes it a little thinner but I use it this thick anyway.
By the way next time we cannot get RY4, I used 36mg Caramel luquid as a base cause I bought a bunch when nothing else was around.

4 ml 36mg Caramel
4 ml glycerine
2 ml Loranns Bavarian Creme
5 drops vanilla
equals 14.4 mg RY4
Taste just like some RY4 I got from MyVaporstore.
