Ever since I started vaping I have noticed The Watchers. You know who I mean...

I just had this happen today too, the watcher being a smoker of all things! Walked out of a gas station store and took a pretty good size puff off my zmax with a 3ml tank, not exactly stealthy seeing as I blew a pretty good cloud... Looked at me as if to say what in the world are you doing? Didn't talk, just stared. Kept watching even as I drove away still vaping the zmax

I was in a bar having a cold one-talking to a guy that I've never met before and for some reason, the look on his face stuck in my mind when I started vaping in front of him. And if you can imagine all of the noise in the place... he whispered and asked me what that was, as if it were some illegal substance or something. It was pretty comical!

Whip out your cell phone and take pics of the "Watchers", we could compile "The Wall of Watchers"! Give titles of "Most Shocked", "Most Annoyed", "Slightly Curious", "Watcher Most Likely to be Watched Back", "Silly Watcher", etc., etc.

I love that idea....we can have a contest of "who captured the most [insert adjective] expression" !!!

I get it all the time. I give up feeling self-concious. I get a strange look, I blow big clouds and return an impassive gaze. Now if someone is genuinely interested and asks about it I'd be only too happy to explain....

It doesn't bother me anymore. People here seem to only think if it's an ecig if it looks like a cig. When I pull out my mods with my pretty drip tips I get all kinds of looks. When I first started vaping I was standing outside vaping at work. This man looked at me really hard & just keep staring so I kept puffing & blowing clouds of vapor. I felt like I was an animal in a circus for a min & then I did it...I waved at him & smiled. Lmbo! He turned & looked on either side of him to see who I was waving at.

I do think some people think its drug paraphernalia
not knowing any better

plus others are indoctrinated

and yet others are nervous and paranoid about everything with all these strange things in the last year or so
Just in the past week there was kid who killed a teacher, a 12 year old in a school shooting
another mas shooting at a military base everything is happening so fast people cant keep up
and it doesn't help the news is so skewed

i have read about police who pull out the "field test kit" and check peoples fluid for illegal drugs. i don't like being noticed when im vaping. so i try to do it discreetly as possible most of the time.. but sometimes ill let a cloud roll out the window sitting at a stop light. you know your RDA is working when you can see the vape cloud in the rear view mirror. one time a guy caught up to me at the next light and yelled at me. "is dat some dank you got right thur??"...

I was sitting in between two sets of older folk at the airport watching two different people stealth vape, the watchers were so confused thinking it was smoke, finally I muttered that it was water vapor... They said, "oh" and let it go.

Nobody give it a second glance around here anymore. It seems like there's more people vaping than there are smoking at times. Last night I went to see Avenged Sevenfold (EXCELLENT show, by the way) and there were 6 in the three rows in front of me. The guy in front of me turned around and asked me what I was vaping because it smelled so good. Then he pulled out his ego and started puffing. LOL

Nice. Vaping is so new in the UK you can't buy an APV/mod n the B&M's, only eGo setups. So when I walk around clutching my mod in public, well I get all sorts of looks. One woman even looked embarrassed, guess she thought it was another kind of battery operated massaging kind of device LOL

I look forward to the day when the looks stop. Will there be a market for t-shirts with slogans like "It's an e-cig - Stare off!"

BTW, we're not talkin' 'bout gangbangers wanting your PV here. It's 'bout da ANTZ that love to give dose condescending glares without da balls and/or support bra to actually say something dat you can logically respond to.

Aim dat camera and watch da same evolution of da ostrich take effect on 'em!

What all too many don't understand is dat an individual ANTZ is only as brave as our reluctance to confront 'em lets 'em be! Laws, dat's 'nother matter...

I was standing on a train platform, minding my own business, I wasn't even close to the other passengers on the platform, so I reached into my pocket and produced an EVOD. I was in the open air so couldn't see the harm in a quick nicotine fix and I was barely a few drags into 'the deed' when I noticed I was being watched.

There was a lady over to my right who looked as though she had just witnessed a Martian landing right in front of her and was too shocked to speak or even move. Out of the corner of my eye I watched her as she watched me. She made no attempt to hide her interest in me she just stood and stared as though that was perfectly acceptable behaviour towards a stranger.

I looked to my left and saw two more, this time a couple, watching with great interest. I can't say they approved or disapproved they just seemed enthralled by my vaping exploits. They didn't speak to me either. Meanwhile it was announced over the tannoy that smoking was not allowed in this station. Were the train staff watching me too? Why didn't they confront me?

Eventually I boarded the train. The couple made sure to get in a really good watch as I climbed aboard, being as it was their last chance to study this new phenomenon. I wasn't vaping by this time but I was clearly a person of great interest at this point regardless.

When I arrived at my destination I was standing outside a shop in the high street pondering The Watchers when lo and behold, more watching commenced from all directions as I puffed out clouds of smoke from what looked like an alien device of some description. I am new to vaping in general and this was my introduction to public vaping. What amazed me most was nobody said a word to me, they all just stared at me as though to say 'what the hell are you doing?'.

They were all watching me thinking 'weirdo'. I was watching them right back thinking 'weirdos'. It was all a bit odd, to say the least, to say the very least...

Are they always dressed in brown? Even when I can't see them, I know they are there.

Sure, it's illegal, but they're usually raging buttheads in the first place who don't bother to consider the consequences.

Seriously, I think snapping a shot of them is exactly what they need. Staring is rude. What's that old saying used when someone's staring? Yeh... "Take a picture, it'll last longer." Its not okay to be rude to smokers or vapers.
