Thanks for the help guys,i should of mentioned i am a low wattage vapor now around 11 w and higher ohm builds like 1.0ohm to 1.5 ohm and strictly MTL. No idea where to start with a 316L SS build to replicate this for TC!

Try to keep it closer to 1.0. I think the dna has a 1.5 cap.

I have a 1.1 on an SDNA that occasionally flashes an "Ohms too high" message, though it continues to vape fine. That's with 430 SS though, which has a greater res rise... 316 might be more forgiving.

From the Evolv DNA75 datasheet:
Ohms Too High: The resistance of the atomizer coil is too high for the current wattage setting. If this happens, the DNA 75 will continue to fire, but will not be able to provide the desired wattage. The Ohms Too High message will continue to flash for a few seconds after the end of puff.

They used to have a .10Ω to 1.0Ω limit for TP wire but they took it out. Probably because that was for Ni200 but now there's a few other types of wire that works with TP.

Thanks, it's a bit higher than my norm so I hadn't investigated it at all.

Maybe if it were even higher the effect would be noticeable, it's not a high wattage vape as is. So far, so good though.

I have never used SS so is 430 better than 316l? Also Lion wholesale is just around the corner from me and they have a good reputation on here for being genuine. I liked the sound of the LG HG 2 for 20 A and 3000 mah and thought they would be fine if i have no intention of going above 30 w at the most.
the dna 75 handles ss 316L like a pro. nice smooth flat signal. ss 430 can be really springy to work with when going below 28g. it has a higher TCR than 316 making it a little more dna 200 friendly.

I just started using 430ss. I tried 316ss for a few months and like it better than Ni200 but 430ss is better, IMO. It's not quite apples to apples comparison though. I was using 26g 316ss and am now using 28g 430ss. 430ss is springy as AtmizrOpin said and it can be tricky to work with. I've only built 4 atomizers with it so far and I've had no issues. They all work great.

*edit*
I got the csv file for the values of 430ss from Steam Engine.

I've been using the 28ga SS430 for awhile now. I lightly torch the piece(s) I plan on coiling with a regular Bic lighter (barely get it to glow and move on down the wire). Just lightly and it takes the spring out. After that it's as easy to work with as any other wire. It's basically all I use since getting it. With ~50% higher TCR then SS316L or 317 it works great in TC.

Good tip about the lighter. I have a butane torch that I was using with kanthal.

My temp graphs with Ni200 and 316ss look like that graph as well so the performance isn't what I was trying to improve. I have 2 DNA75 mods and 5 DNA200 mods as well as 4 DNA40 mods. Ni200 had a slightly off taste but not noticeable after half a tank or so. I always thought it was the rayon but after using 316ss, I realize it was the coil and not the wick. With 430ss, it was a bit cleaner still and seemed to performed better. As I mentioned before, it could be the gauge of the wire but 430ss works really well for me. My KF5 has more flavor than it ever did with 316ss builds (2.5mm ID and 3mm ID, different wicking styles, etc).

Of course, YMMV.

Bride vapes a .33 dual coil SS430 in the 75, 75 pre-heat, 75 watts and set at 400 degrees. Actual wattage is anywhere from 10 to 30 based on wicking and draw and she gets about a day of vaping on an old Efest battery with a 2.8 cut off. To her, it vapes just like the 200 but fits in her hand.

I want to get in on the action too. I twist my 28 gauge tight with a drill and butane torch it while holding it taunt before removing it from the drill.
Here's both my K5s

The juice feed holes on the top of the decks are just slightly larger than stock, bottom of holes are stock.

Why are your temps clean... but low?
I'm hoping that the correct answer is because "the wick/coil is so saturated"
Edit: Even with 316/317 (never had any) the temp line will be pretty straight as long as it doesn't reach the set temrature.

Here I thought it would be that you are purposely choosing to run at a power level that would keep you just below your set temp to conserve your battery.

Steve runs higher watts than I which may account for some of his sawtooth 316 graphs... but like my 430, my 316s generally go bang right to the set temp... and stay there.

I just received my SDNA 75 and am trying to work out the different settings. This may sound crazy but i can't figure out how to turn it off! I must be missing the obvious but the five clicks does not do anything!
The only way to turn off DNAs are to remove the battery. You can lock them (5 clicks or user configurable) and they will go to sleep (30 minutes of non-activity), but they don't turn off.

Thank you guys! Yes i can lock it,i thought i needed to turn it off to change batteries and have been trying to figure it out for about a hour!
