i thought hana modz was basically going out of biz. i'll bet you you'll see a VS dna 200 style enclosure (since the 75w boards are the same size as the 200w and mount the same.) with the addition of a battery door and 18650/26650 sled like the rdna 40's. i love my VS 200.
I did not know that Hana was closing. I am a big fan of their mods I have 4 of them now. Thats too bad but I understand its hard to compete with China and the pending regulations are going to be tough.

I have yet to own a VS. I keep seeing rdna's for really cheap I should pick one up. And a replaceable 18650/26650 Dna75 in the VS200 body would be pretty great.

I hope it is going to be smaller than the 200.
Don't see how, board is rumored to be almost same size with only balance taps not there so bit shorter. The DNA75 is reportedly a drop in replacement for the DNA200. They will not be left with many options to distinguish between them. They will basically be adding a battery sled inside the 200 case back cover and upgrading the charger on the board.

They may be able to shave 1/4" - 3/8" off the case if they worked at it but why should they bother retooling for so little gain?

If they utilize a built in 900mah 3s lipo or a single 18650 then I do see this happening however, on wechat / weibo (china's twitter, social media), there are vendors posting mods with the DNA75W chip already (not sure if just a mockup) but they all seem to utilize 26650 batteries.

I think the 26650 thing is a trend. I personally won't use them. Battery sag, high internal resistance etc. Just not a vaping battery imo.

The actual difference is 4 mm shorter at the bottom and 1 mm shorter than the top, the 2 inductors on the back sit a little further apart than on the 200.

notice how joyetech has the 75 board cloned already for the rx75. lol they don't waste no time! @fishwater it's a "kind" of clone dna 75 board (no escribe, large oled, etc). so evolv hasn't gotten into bed with wismec again since it's really not their board being put in to start with. this is on the assumption that wismec is staying true to the "RX" line and not using an authentic evolv board.

So I am in the pre order for the DNA 75 from proto vapor, it is expected to arrive at proto on may 13th, I only paid $39.99 for the pre order. I'm going to be putting it in my own hand made hybrid stabilized bottom feeder. My question, everywhere says it needs a single cell Li-Po... But then I hear it can run on a single 18650? Which do you guys think would be better? I'm leaning towards Li-Po but couldn't find one that is short enough for me. I'm looking for a single cell Li-Po that's equal or shorter than the board itself..

Any assistance?

I have been beta testing one and a LiPo has the performance advantage if you like the preheat on temp mode turned up, at higher wattages, say over 50 W or want longer runtime. But dual 18650s would be good for that as well if external charging is a priority. I have the preheat maxed using a single Samsung 25R and am getting decent battery life, the preheat just drops off a little when the battery is getting low, but the vape is still great.
