Hello! Loving my SMY SDNA 75 thus far, great form factor and surprisingly attracted to the rubberised black coat :-0)

Oddly though, the outer plastic of the screen is scuffing & scratching very, very easily. At least there is a screen, unlike my reuleaux!

Anyone finding the same with their SDNA 75? Any solutions?

I'm thinking of opening it up and replacing the plastic screen protector, with another type of plastic :O!

Is it possible there is a thin plastic protector on it? Sometimes it's really hard to tell. I noticed scratches, so I was going to wait and then see if I could catch an edge of plastic and pull it off, but I never looked with a magnifying glass to see if this were true. I'll check tonight when i get home.

It is possible though I had the same experience with the istick 30W. It had a layer (I won't call it protector :p) and the screen began to scuff and scratch quicker after peeling it off once a dog ear appeared. :(

Might take some toothpaste or baking soda to it, see what happens :)

As I suspected, like many good screens, there IS a thin layer of PLASTIC protecting the screen. Just peeled mine off. Much better now. If it scratches now, so be it. As long as the mod works and has a decent life, I'll be happy. I've got more important things to OCD about.

Had the VT75 for over a month now and apart from the 1st one having a bad usb port and having to exchange it, have really been liking the DNA75, still getting use to the settings, but getting there.

Seems most are looking at the 26650 to run the DNA75, but yesterday got the Therion, which is a dual 18650 and even though I really like my VT75, the therion is a step above in looks :)

Have they sealed the leather in some way? Very interested in this but being it's a mod, ejuice can leak and grubby fingers can get it dirty, I'm curious about how durable that finish will be.

I rubbed mine down with leather conditioner and treated the wood with oil then treated both with waterproofing spray like you put on shoes and camping gear. Holding up great so far. I even dripped some water on it to make sure it beads

I think you're right, but this is a bit much. o_O
I'm pretty sure he posted last year he would cut prices until he had foregone $1 Mil in profit. Two ordered... just doin' what I can to help. :p

I think I'll stop wondering if I'll hunt down a deal for a second VTC (VTwo Mini). :D
