All joking aside . tanks for the info.
Here is the jest of most of the latest update as of yesterday afternoon that Evolv replied to me.. It is posted in the spirit of wanting to share and provide some of the info the vendors receive. In my opinion the vendors are your best resource and should be your first contact point as they are the seller of the devices and some are also the makers of a given device also. They also know more about the specific device(s) they offer.

1. Celsius bug is fixed.
2..The small screen glitch issue is fixed or at least that the feedback Evolv is getting from ..... (device maker's name omitted).
3. The big screen issue is better. Meaning it doesn't affect functionality of the unit anymore.

Evolv typically leaves information on bug fixes and what not to the device manufacturers to disseminate as they are the ones dealing directly with the consumer.

Hope you find this information helpful.

Now just a reminder of the subject of this thread:

Evolv Technology Owners Discussion Thread
General Discussion of any manufactured personal vaporizing device using their patented electronics incorporated in the device. A gathering place for those using the same technology in various retail devices. This is not a thread to compare xxx device against yyy device but to discuss the common technology, and for Q & A of the technology.

Have a great evening.... :)

Just watched a video on youtube showing a $600.00 DNA40 (so the reviewer says)....reminded me of the Apple watch for Ten Thousand bucks so probably for those folks who want to spend that kind of money for a PV or a watch....
Nah, $600 is 3-4x what the least expensive DNA40 mods cost. I don't see that as analogous to the $10k gold Apple Watch at all; that's more than 20-25x what the least expensive Apple watch (with the same functionality) costs. Anyway, I don't see $600 very far out of line for a well-crafted wood DNA40 mod. I'll have close to $400 in the feeder I'm putting together.

Oh, and unlike an Apple Watch, you can replace the battery in a Hurakan mod. :D

Of course it's true. Without knowing which of those things it is, and how much, you simply cannot properly review the board. It's like saying the car isn't going fast enough, and it could be the engine, the chassis, or the driver, so thumbs down on the engine.

That's not good reviewing. And it's pretty obvious if you don't have an axe to grind.

The sad thing is screen glitches should not be repetitive in RMAs. They are only repetitive because VS does not repair the devices, they send a new one, and clearly they are not testing the devices well enough prior to initial packaging.

Not sure what you're sayin here G, Evolv pulled the large screen boards till they updated it, that's not conjecture, that's a fact

I know what they are doing. It has no bearing on what I wrote. The glitches have always been fairly low rate with good QC. One person getting multiple glitch mods in warranties should be very, very rare.

BobC.... was in the wrong thread when I replied that 22 G wire was minimum and 18G was recommended for DNA40's.... 22 G may not work for you but I have it in a few of mine without issue.... what issues do you speak of caused by using 22 G wire... I would like to know so I can be aware of what to look for... thx...

So today was the first day that I put down the P3 and took my rDNA to work.

I'm baffled I works 8 hours but I'm usually at work an hour before and an hour after we close so I've been vaping on this thing for 10 hours and I still have a full charge?

Please tell me I didn't get a faulty chip or charging port!

The battery meter doesn't really work on most mods with these boards.

I've had it a few days now but always left it at home. I velcro'd the wireless charger to bottom side of my PC and just stand it up against it so it gets charged all day but today was the first time I took it out for any significant amount of time.

I removed the skin and took out the battery just now. when I inserted the same battery and hit the fire button it turned on and showed around 1/2 battery then I took my first puff looked back at it and it's full again. I try toput it on a USB charger but the red ring doesn't light up and placing it next to the wireless charger same story. I think it thinks it's full but I don't see how on a single 18650.

If you have vaped it for 10 hours today without charging it should show that it is charging using usb charger... may be a good idea to contact VS and ask them... their device uses a "daughter board".....

The chip guesses charge based on a whole lot of stuff.
My rDNA 40s in TP can last 1 to 2 days. I do not bother looking at the battery bar until I notice a real drop in vapor production and then it is usually giving me the 'weak battery' message.
Some time tonight or tomorrow you will probably see a real drop in charge.
Sort of like when a fuel tank hits half a tank then goes to empty reeaal fast.

"J", my battery meter works the same way. There are only two times when it reads fairly accurate and that is as you discovered when it wakes up from the off (deep sleep) condition until you fire it then I don't know what it is reading but it will read full. Then when it is really down to around 3.5 volts the bar will slowly start to creep down until you finally get the Low Bat Warning.

Bizarre but that is how they all work DNA40 anyway.

Regards,
George

Jeeeeeeez buddy, you sure are a tough one, you speak, but never listen

If they pulled the board, the board had issues that must of not been rare occurrences, no?

No. Fixes don't necessarily need to be in response to common occurrences. Also the prevalence of whatever issues do exist has multiple factors; there are steps between Evolv and the end user.

The problem with making assumptions as you have based on incomplete information is that you will never convince someone who has more complete information.

This isn't the first time the large screen board has paused production btw.

I guess I'll try to vape it hard tonight and tomorrow before work, see if it drops. If not I'll RMA it which I really don't want to do but I guess we'll see...

Thanks for the info guys!

My gas tank has that same problem but only when I am at least 75 miles from a gas station. :D
