We're gonna need atomizers that support multiple coils wired in series. I've tried to build gigantic coils with Ni200 just to try a higher wattage DNA 40 vape, but I don't like the vape from them big coils. Two or three small coils in series, on the other hand... that could be good.

so that (using higher watts and temps) would be in an atomizer with large enough deck for larger or multiple Ni coils...

Yeah serial coils might be a solution. Or titanium wire.

DNA25 in a VapeDroid print. Works just like it's big brother. OUT and GND have been relabeled as A- and A+ respectively. Wires go to the same places. Weird to see a + for the ground.. Do you think they might make bigger solder thru holes someday? It would be nice to see 18 gauge actually go thru the hole without trimming.

Wondering what circumstance requires serial coils or titanium wire as a solution? Why would atty's with multiple series coils be better? Is it just for bigger clouds? I'm intrigued with this conversation.

hmm yeah... I like to use multiple atomizers / devices for the same juices and when I need a blast I like to use my Marquis dripper... don't know how I would need more vapor.

    ukeman,

I believe that most of the "Series" coil concept comes for folks that are having trouble get a parallel coil at the resistance they want and still be able to fit their dual coil Atty.

The problem with the series coils is most Attys when you wire in two coils in series is it inevitably ends up with one very long return leg (hot leg). To do it right would require an Atty designed for placing coils in series.

I also think the motivation for this is in fact a desire for a denser and warmer vape. Also a lot of folks are not all that fond of dripping especially on the Mod they carry around or to work.

Oh it goes through ... barely

Parallel coils might be the answer.

yes there is definitely space constrictions with ID of the dual coils as well as length... and dual coil tanks are making a move on the market.

I would look forward to innovative designs.

Seeing Phil's videos, I wonder if a reaction to the negative comments in the vape world isn't influencing his gripes. I haven't had any annoying issues in my DNA25 or in my Ana clone.
Making coils is as easy as you want it to be. Old school wrapping the wick and a paper clip with the wire or just pulling the wick thru and adjusting the spacing.
Putting the wire to the torch or cleaning it first? I torch my wire anyway. Unless you are a reviewer, you may not do this for a month. If you like to try different builds and atties you are going to be fussing around anyway.
Stuff just works, and you adjust for taste. My mechs performance can vary from day to day (maybe it's my taste buds). No surprise that my Nauti mini and DNA25 may vary. I adjust to taste. Will I ever go exclusively temp control? I dunno. My Goblin and Istick 30w argue against it. Heck, the Aerotank Giant and 722 say not yet dude.
I just don't see any reason not to get the Hcigar and IPV4. + 2 more DNA 40 boards.

Pbusardo is a reviewer and reviews alot of stuff. I think he tells it just as he sees it, just like Rip Tripper and the other reviewers. To me his opinion is just that.. his opinion. I believe in Evolv and their technology and it works for me. As long as a vaper is satisfied with whatever gear he/she uses I think that is really all that matters. Someone loving a mech mod and telling everbody how great it is and how much he loves is no different than the next person's opinion on a different technology. If it works for ya just do it...and do it safely...at least that is my 2 pennies worth.... :)

Here is the latest Rip Tripper review:

Rip^ doesn't waste a lot of time imo, I have that rdna40 model (no glitches) with zip etc... ^ awesome ^
hmm Delta2 ? dang, I don't even know what that is but if he loves it (like the Marquis dripper in TP), I'm interested.

Busardo, loves to get into it to say the least; haven't seen his vid, he knows a hell of a lot more than I do, but the guy didn't even know how to make a micro coil, a year or two after they had been well known.

Like Rip said in the beginning, the great VALUE of the dna40 devices are that you can do .16 to 2 ohms in conventional VW.... what blows my mind about any of the DNA devices, is how great they work, and the high voltage HIGH VOLTAGE... I know, SOME of the high wattage boxes from China have high watts, but plenty of them DON'T have high volts....
My Raptor boxes go up to 120w, but only 5.5v, Same for the 50w Ranger.

Not going over 5v is not that big of a deal, but in my experience 1 to 2 ohms with kanthal is the way to go with conventional, and you may need high voltage (up to 7v) if you are going with lots of surface area on your coil/s.

***I did get some juice leakage into the batt holder area using the Marquis, and that ticks me but that's user error...
will someone tell me if or what the situation is with leakage into the connectors on the rdna40, Flask40 and XPV40???
I'll email the vendors to find out too.
I'll stop using the Marquis so freely if its a big no no....

Glad someone else noticed that. He's not exactly consistent on how he deals with that either. But it does seem very much that he felt like he had to agree, or else he would be accused of being an Evolv shill.

    Yep I noticed too...

Reviewers review things giving only their opinion/s thus various reviewers will have differing opinions....

Note that Pbusardo's video shows this disclaimer written on the screen when it starts:

"What you see here are my opinions only."
