What gives more flavor? 3 wrap or 6 wrap coils.
I use a 5 coil and get great flavor, awesome clouds, and decent TH
I don't like a lot of TH so it's perfect for me
Hope this helps

From the number of wraps Ive done it seems to me on the cermics its better flavor the lower the wrap count and the thicker the kanthal, I tried all the way up to 36awg 9/10 wrap, but find myself back down to 3/4 30awg.
All the way up in voltage too, again find myself on the lowest voltage with mechanical mod.
Seems that sub 1 ohm wraps work best, I try to keep mine at 0.8 to 1 ohm there isnt much play in the values at that low resistance...

SS or ceramic and what size wick?
Better wicking and tipping doesnt sit well with me cause I dont tip and my ceramic wicks just fine as it does with a number of people in here. Seems that the low resistance vapors have a better result from what I am reading, Im on around 0.8 - 1.0 ohms on the 1/8th wick, I was never successful with the ribbon kanthal kept getting dry hits the wrap was never tight enough I guess....
As far as the thick milkshake through a thin straw many of us have experienced that, heck I use cartos on a mechanical mod for when I am at the office and feels like that at the end of a day I can tell you by the time I get home I am hanging to get my AGA-T out to get a vapor that is thick and enjoyable.
At one stage I was using 60VG to 40PG and high voltage to get a thick vape, but then I looked around at the smokers of analogues and saw that they were exhaling so much less smoke than I was exhaling vapor even though I felt I needed more vapor. Lately Ive increased the nicotine gone back to 60/40 PG/VG and find that it produces a nice vape in my carto tanks and a superb vape in the AGA-T with 1/8th ceramic FC2000 wick using 30 awg kanthal 4/3 turns.
Keep at it, you will find a nice sweet spot I am sure of it because its just a matter of trial and error and what you want from a vape, I guess what I am saying is look back at what you were getting out of a fiberglass wick, flavor etc, then your stainless wick and notice the others you may know who smoke and draw a comparison...
but its good to see your not giving up, it really is worth the time and effort to find your sweet spot....

Nice vid. Vap. I have a Ti-mini from zen~ with a 1/8 3 wrap28k, and an I-Hy with a 1/8 3/4 wrap 28k going now and getting the same results, nice clean vape and then i have to pull unusally hard to keep it going, it could be that there is no wiggle room in the wick hole, i did hand carve a groove in the wick as i was afraid to use a power tool on the fragile wicks. I am going to get it right........someday.
Thanks Elias. I was using the ceramic wicks for a few tanks with 32g and 5/6 wraps and lost the taste and went back to SS. I'm using 7/8 wraps with 30g and its great. I will try what you said on my ceramics again with less coils.
Hey Vapman....just a side note...put it on the Provari and took it up to 4.5 V and OMG!!!!!!!!!!! The secret for me is going to be a sub 1 coil and a mechanical!!
Per Vap's recommendation, I too ordered "The Natural Mod" and have seen the video review from "The Scott". Mines in the mail still, but looking forward to my first mechanical, although no idea why.
In a nut shell, how is a mechanical different/better than a VV or VW ?? Just not really sure.
its a couple of things, yes its the higher power for sure, but its the ability to properly use the 28g wire. i always have prefered the 28g wire, for i believe it produces the best flavor. a vv device just cannot produce enough power to properly heat up this amount of wire. the power of a mechanical mod does this beatifully. i think alot of people feel that vaping over 15 watts is to strong, but to me it is smooth, and the 28g wire makes it so. 2/3 or 3/4 wrap of 28g on a mechanical is a great vape, you just need to get the wire tight on the wick
i am glad to see you finally have good results with the 30g and ss mesh wicks. i remmember you were having issues with flavor or vapor at one time, so you went back to 32g.
i just recieved one of my fc2000 wicks today(ordered 2 sizes, only recieved the smaller one), the 3/32 only fits my aga-t, and its even kind of small for that. the other size is 1/8, and that is to big for the aga, but will fit my dids and ac-9. was hoping for the larger one so i could try on the ac-9. i did the per instruction recommendations before wrapping a coil. being that the 3/32 wick is very small, i figured that it may perform better with 32g (yes i said 32g). reccomendations were to slowly break in wick, for a long period, before getting to crazy with hi wattages. from what i have read and heard with these wicks is that they take alot of time to break in , so i didnt expect anything good initially. well they actually work pretty good, i think i am impressed. now if the performance stays like it is now, there is no way i will be using them for sure, they just wouldnt do it for me, but if they do break in, like they say, this could be promising. the coil is 1.6 ohms, and for now can only vape it at 3.8 volt before the wick drys, so at 3.8 it works great and the taste is really good. i will have to see if this is just a load of you know what, or the next thing. i think results would of been better with the 1/8 wick in the ac-9, compared to this tooth pick wick, but suprisingly i am optimistic. i am hoping that this wick in a couple days can keep up with my usual genny set-ups, we will see.
Yeah my coil is 1.8 so I went with the Provari. On my Natural really wasn't firing it well too high (1.8) So next coil is going to be 1 or sub 1 on my natural. Going to do that today when I can get all my honey do's done. The most I have run with the Mechanical is 1.3. I got over zealous with the coil on the fc 2000.
You are correct Vapdivrr. I am bouncing around with all different sizes of wicks and coils looking for the best vape. I plan on trying the 30g again on the ceramic at lower ohm's next.
Thanks Vap !! I'll be trying that out when I get my mechanicals. I have two now ordered (one in a CoOp)
Sooo I haven't given up on SSmesh yet as I find working with it oddly intriguing however my first order of ceramics shipped today. Kind of excited!
Actually 1.4 ohms @ 4.6 volts will get you the max output with a ProVari V2.if you can get to 1.3 Ω on the provari you will acheive the maximum output of the provari, its just the way the numbers work with the maximum amps& wattage outputs of the provari v-2
