yes, but from what i read, it doesnt get that hot. anyway, scratch that, i found that my scriber is 3/32. the head is removable and has the vice like tip on it, it screws off, and you remove the tip. perfect for 3/32 sized ceramic wicks to hold in place for heat coiling.Doesnt it then melt again as the temperature increases?
