You also have to prove, via clinical studies, that Soylent Green is a benefit to public health. No thanks, I'll pass ;)

LOL! Can't we just prove that it isn't a detriment to public health? ;)

But seriously, according to the new Dog Deeming Regulations, dogs (and cats, because they say cats are dogs) are forbidden, but people can still own ferrets. Ferrets are stinky and dangerous. Why do they still allow ferrets? Is there not enough evidence to support the fact that ferrets are far more dangerous to public health than dogs? And yet, millions of people are running around, owning ferrets, without a care in the world... and they don't have to jump through any hoops to do it! :grr:

The FDA has determined that some people may or may not be allergic to dog/"dog" (cat) fur, however we at present do not have any scientific data supporting the severity or incidence rate of this condition. Based on this (lack of) data, we must assume that dogs may cause anaphylactic shock to susceptible individuals -- pets kill! The PPMA shall include rigorous clinical studies, over a wide population base, demonstrating how their proposed pet may impact any member of the human race.

The FDA recognizes that furry pets may be more challenging to obtain approval for. As such, prospective pet providers may choose to submit applications for all-in-one hairless pets.

Then we need to raise public awareness against Big Ferret! They continue to ignore the fact that the ferret industry is destroying trees to make all of those little ferret chew sticks, and shavings for their cages. They continue to flaunt their money and power to quash any rebellion against their corrupt, weasel-like ways. This cannot continue! We HAVE to make a stand NOW if we want to protect the right to keep our dogs and cats (cats are NOT dogs... I don't care what they say!).

Dogs bite children.

Minors and young adults need to be discouraged from interacting with dogs. Ways this might be accomplished are to: restrict minors from owning dogs; put warning signs at dog parks; prohibit humane societies from promoting the adoption of dogs; and prohibit broadcasting of Lassie, Benji and whatever those movies are with the Golden Retriever puppies.

The FBP&DC act gave the FDA authority to regulate dogs and anything it deems to be a dog.
("Deeming," by definition, is an opinion. It does not have to be supported by evidence.
Perhaps the FDA was also given authority over the dictionary.)

The FDA looked to the history of the AKC and concluded that any dog breeds developed before 1885 (when the AKC opened registration) would be grandfathered in. Any breeders of dog breeds developed after 1885 would have to submit a pre-pet marketing application costing millions of dollars to prove, amongst other things, that: their breeds won't encourage minors to pet them; won't incite people who don't like dogs to own them; won't cause people who used to own dogs, but don't want another one, to get one anyway; and that they are beneficial to public health.

Service dogs are exempt, since they are medical devices.

And because they might: influence minors to pet dogs; allow people to substitute them for dogs; mislead the public into thinking dogs are safe; or could be a gateway to dogs, cats are deemed to be dogs.

Especially if the guy next door doesn't like dogs, or thinks your cat is a dog because it has fur & 4 legs & a tail.

Of course, pricing for such dogs will be raised by 50,000% by midnight. +tax, of course.

Big Ferrets don't work. You just go back to cats. Every time you quit and go back
to cats you get more and more of them. Somewhere around 100 or so you get
COPD.(Cat Omni Presence Disorder) Then your ready for the high end stuff.
BO.(Big Otters) Complete with built in living area with a pool and waterfall.
If further treatment is required Birth control will be withheld and they can be
put on a diet with fertility drugs. Then you get adorably cute little baby otters.

If this doesn't work nothing will.
:)
