I currently own a VMOD, which is a very good mod. I would like to move up to a VV. I was looking at a lavatube but hate dripping. I saw on the volcano site that there are are tanks for it. I was wondering if those are any good. Also if the lavatube is not that good i wouldn't mind spending more on something better. What i need is a VV mod and something i can use with it so that I don't have to drip and not have to refill every hour. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, the Lavatube is a new device - on the market for just 3 months - and does seem to have issues with buttons. Also, it seems that many folk don't appreciate the voltage being dropped from where it was set without being told - something the Lavatube will do if you use a dual-coil carto over 4.3 volts.

Have you looked at other VV devices? Madvapes has a very low cost ($35) VV box mod which serves as an excellent introduction to the VV world - they also sell the Smoktek tanks.
Notcigs sells the Infinity Pro and Buzz Pro VV tube mods - both excellent, solid, American made PV's. They are a little more expensive that the Lavatube and don't have bells and whistles but they have no issue with dual-coil cartos all the way up to 5.5 volts.

I believe the Lava Tube is a great intro into variable voltage devices actually if you can stick with it for awhile to make it worth the money paid but if you think you'll jump to something else relatively quickly....say less than 3 month I'd take a look at suggested at the Buzz Pro or Provari if your looking for a tube style vv device. I believe the Buzz will run you about 30.00 less than a Satin Provari when all is said and done. Let us know what you decide if/when you do.:)

EDIT: 6 month warranty on the Buzz Pro, 1 year warranties on both the Volcano Lava Tube and the Provape Provari. The Provari also gives you the option of purchasing an additional 1 year for a total of 2 years priced at 24.95.
