If you're gonna do the vinegar thing though, don't forget to neutralize it afterwards. Any residual acidity of the vinegar can eventually eat through the metal. Same goes for lemon juice. You can rinse it with baking soda + water, then rinse off the baking soda, then dry. Then polish with Renaissance Wax.

I MIGHT get desperate enough to do all that someday, but not yet - I'd have to want that mod REALLY bad, cuz I'm lazy! I was thinking rub-on poly though - just have to get around to playing with that.

And I'm glad you're not going 350 with the SRX. Had all the specs I want, but I opted not to buy one because I saw a pic of it in 350 mode that immediately evoked the image of a mariachi band.
