I'm pretty sure I've always been mindful to keep the tails (you're talking about the legs that run to the
capture posts, right?) up to make sure the coil is clear of the bottom air hole.
Has anyone tried flat/ribbon kanthal in this thing yet? I know it would be a bear to capture, but what if I trimmed it (like giving it a diagonal snip) so it would fit under the capture screws? Would that make the resistance go haywire?

I've used both 0.3mm and 0.5mm ribbon on the Fogger. The 0.3 was easy enough (because it is quite flexible and narrow) but it was too high resistance: Similar to running it with 32awg round wire. The 0.5 worked better for resistance but was indeed a bear to setup. I used KP-ero from KidneyPuncher (which is less ohms per foot than standard 0.5mm Kanthal ribbon) but I had to form the coil completely off the Fogger including two bends and one twist for each terminal post connection. It took quite awhile with many trials and errors lots of wasted wire and ultimately didn't provide a significant increase in wick surface coverage over 28awg round wire because the ribbon coils were so tight between the posts that the legs ended up crossing back over the coil in order to reach the posts. It yielded hot legs and too much lag time upon firing. So it wasn't worth it for me.

I was ready to resign the Fogger to my quickly filling up bin of unsatisfying vape gear (mostly EVOD's, protanks, Ego batt's and the like), but your advice/encouragement lead me beyond what I thought was just too damn thin of a cotton wick and into the land of functional Fogger bliss.
As for the ribbon wire, I absolutely love the stuff and use it exclusively on all the gennies I have, including the tiny AGT which requires 0.3mm. And now that I've got the Fogger working again, I think it might be a good candidate for the standard 0.5mm ribbon, or better yet 0.4mm, if I can find it again.
Anyone know where I can get a spare post/screw or what size screw for this? I lost it in my desk and my bag of spares didn't come with a spare screw...
Sounds like a plan my man! I've got an AGT also. Didn't realize that thing was such a tiny lil' bugger. Gives me an excuse to buy another 14500 mod though, heh.

$(#@!!!! I lost the center pin. I was taking it all apart to clean and give a micro coil another try, when I dropped it in the sink. I scrambled for it, but down the drain it went, never to be seen again.
I'm trying to scrounge around for something that should work. I thought a center pin from a ProTank/Evod head might work, but apparently not. The little o-ring doesn't fit around it like it should.
What else could I try? I'm not too keen on buying a whole 'nother one, since I'm guessing a V3 will be out in a month or so.

I know it probably isn't something you want to do, but your sink has a large U shaped device on the drain called a trap, it is designed to catch such things, and isn't all that hard to remove, you could take it off, and chances are good you can recover your pin.
Are you talking about the contact pin/screw? The fill hole screw is a pretty close match, I recall mixing the two up my first time putting it all back together. Memory's a little foggy (dweebish pun intended) but I'm pretty sure they both fit as a contact pin, but only one screws all the way down in the fill hole.
Not even sure if that's what you're talking about, but figured I'd chime in anyways.

At the moment I no longer own a Fogger v2 but I salvage similar small screws from old laptop hard drives, floppy drives, portable DVD players, ect. The size for Igo-l posts and other drippers is commonly found in this stuff.
Next is the idea that the screw in the Fogger's 510 is adjustable, it does screw in and out and appears to be adjustable but is not, a short more than likely will occur if not tightened. Shim it with a small nylon washer or grommet if necessary to extend it.

I received it today, not in too bad of shape, the problem with the threads on the sides of the wick hole disappeared when I enlarged the wick holes with a Dremel (clone).
About the "upgraded" glass, this one has thicker glass below the cover than my other two had.
Discovered that the top and bottom o-rings are of different size.
The only thing interchangeable between v1 and v2 are the drip tip, posts and post screws and the fill plug.

I'm really liking this atty, but in the first week I lost the fill hole screw and had to grind down a computer screw to put in there. just tonight I lost one of the coil post screws and I don't have anything on any of my other devices that fits (that thread is TINY). Anyone have any suggestions? I'm having a lot of trouble sourcing parts for this little ........ I'd actually LOVE to replace them with thumb-screws, even if small.
