I bought a second Fogger from free-cigs.com, mainly just to get a replacement for the 510 pin that I lost.

This one is pretty much identical to the first one (also a V2) that I got from....I forget where.

Now that I've got my first one up and running GREAT with a micro coil and fluffy cotton wick, I'm sticking with that setup and I'll use the "new" one for spare parts. Until I stumble upon something to replace that missing 510 widget....

I'd post pics, but it's nothing you guys haven't seen before. 28 gauge, five or 6 wraps, raised a few mm over the air hole. I've got the cotton trimmed as close as I could get it. I still had the flooding right after filling, but leaving it upside down for about 1/2 hour drained that out; it was just a few drops worth. I'm still not using the o-ring over the build well. And the airflow control ring is doing exactly what it's supposed to do.

Yay....? Yay!

Yep, pretty much how I run mine... If I don't have a little flood at the beginning, that means it's gonna be dry hit city. What I do is open the bottle of juice I filled it with, stick the mouth piece in the hole, and blow in through the air holes, pretty much clears it right out. Then I vape it fully horizontal for a bit.

Good thinking! I'll give that a try for sure! :)

While trying to get the AFC off the deck to modify for more airflow I bent the juice walls because it was on so damn tight. I gave up on doing that so I wouldn't further mess it up and bent it back so it would thread with pliers. Back to flooding, so I tried raising the wick and coil to around the level of the post tops since I had pushed the wick down in the process of trying to unscrew the AFC. More vapor and no flooding with the wick raised. I don't even want to change the air flow now on my V3. The problem was that while my wick and coil were above the air hole, they were still too close and limiting the air flow.

As far as filling the tank, I fill it to slightly before full, put the screw in, and invert it with the drip tip removed for 5-10 minutes and that has seemed to be enough. Is spinning the glass tank supposed to open the juice control? My build was doing this previously before messing with it, but now it doesn't seem to open it. Bubbles do come out of the juice channels when I do it, but it doesn't open up like it did.

Well I've really had only very minor issues with my Fogger V2, dry hits only when taking extended hard draws, but flavor seemed a bit lacking. So I've continued to experiment with builds. My current build is working best of all so far, no flooding, even after fills, no dry hits even on extended hard pulls, I'm using a double silica 2mm wick with the secondary wick almost to the inner walls, the primary single 2mm is butted flush to the outer edge, both wicks wrapped together with 5 wraps of 32 gauge ending up about 2 ohms, I've also left out the O-ring for the chimney cap, one less o-ring I have to worry about finding replacements for, and pretty much the weakest of the bunch.

I'm very happy with my newest build. It's nextel XC 116 with 8 touching wraps of triple braided 32 Ga kanthal. The ohms are coming in at 1.3. I wanted this device for use on my Vamo and I use an Igo-W and AGA-T2 on my KTS for sub ohm builds. Finally I don't feel the need to mess with it. The flavor on this braided 32 Ga at 1.3 ohms is much better than the flavor I had from 30 Ga at 2.2 ohms(both 12W). This fogger is also now living up to its name more.

Leave a little wick sticking out of the wick hole and touching the glass. This allows you to merely twist the pyrex to the right to open the juice control. The good thing about XC-116 is once you have it right you won't have to mess with it for a long time. That and a random dry burn, which happens when you leave it sitting for a while IME, will not singe your wick. You can also just fire it dry before changing flavors. The flavor on the ceramic fiber is also way cleaner than silica or ekowool.

Triple twisted 32g Kanthal A1 is my favorite wire so far. So easy to work with, great resistance per length for those looking for a coil in the 1.0-1.5ohm range, and the extra surface area makes for flavorful clouds.

Have you ever tried braiding it together? I've only tried a weak attempt at twisting a couple months ago, so I cant comment on one vs the other. I actually didn't even know how to braid until right before I built this coil. I was looking at the post pictures of your working wick-coil-setup thread and saw all the twisted kanthal....I got that new build itch that will hang in the back of your mind until you try it. I braided it as flat as I could so that I have more coil touching my wick vs a twist. Tried to take a picture but it was really hard to get my iphone focused on it. If you do braid one make sure that after every left to center => right to center cross you pull it tight to keep the integrity of the shape.

Anyone else notice that some of the replacement glass tubes are wider than the originals? Just got my 3rd replacement tube, from the same vendor as 1st and 2nd, but now my Fogger has a gut. The glass isn't any thicker, just wider. So now I've got more clearance around the coil deck - which is good for juice flow - but also now a really loose fit against the bottom and top o-rings, which is bad for altogether awesomeness. I mean, I'll fix the loose fit with some dental floss or plumber's tape, but it is strange, no?

Strange yes. I recently got a replacement tank that was too tight around the bottom deck, (Top was ok) I had to shave down my oring.

oh that's right...chinese quality control. I guess on average they assume the overall lot is perfect. :D

If you're having a hard time with the AGA-T2, the Fogger will do your head in. It IS a PITA. But it does reward patience and fiddling. And there are QC issues.

Now, my opinion might not hold much weight, as I consider the T2 one of the easiest RBAs to work with. The only thing that's less of a hassle is the RSST. Again, just my opinion.

fits 6 ml. I have heard there are issues with the fogger. any input from people who own one, I am needing an RTA for my first rba besides my aga-t2 i hate.

Agreed 100%. Knowing what I know now about the Fogger, I would not have bought one. Calling it a PITA is a massive understatement. I might actually end up disposing of the one I currently own...

Yes the Fogger is a major PITA to build and it's very finicky as to which builds will work, but once you have it right, it works pretty well. Is it as good as my 3.1? No, but I didn't pay $150 for it either.

I've been running a 1/16" 30ga 5 wrap micro with cotton (trimmed right to the edge of the cutouts) for about 3 weeks now and it's working pretty darn good.
