Well this XC-116 wick is 2-3 weeks old now and I'm still loving it. The only time I get any gurgles is if I fill it wrong, then I just take the drip tip off and invert it for 1-5 minutes and its solid. If I had to describe this vape in one word it would be juicy. Fully saturated vapor with nice flavor and a big throat hit. I feel bad for those of you with cotton who have to recoil every other day and worry about whether it's going to flood or dry hit. I just torch it dry and dry burn my coils, then I'm good to go. Fill it, twist the glass to open my chimney up, and it's back to performing exactly the same. I alternate between this at 1.3 on my vamo, my russian on the magneto at .6 ohms, and my Igo-W on the magneto at .35 ohms. My genesis atomizers get no play anymore.

Hey! You may be my hero!!! I've been hit and miss with cotton and going to try xc-116 next. Can you please tell in detail how you set it up? Pics would be even better! I hate inside builds that can burn
I've been lurking too long on this thread, and wanted to post my all day right now, because it's all thanks to everyone on here who has saved me countless hours trying to figure this thing out on my own.
Got this a week ago and my second build is a champ. I may never take it out. Doubled over braided German silica from rtd with cotton dams at the wick holes = perfect. 1 ohm coil of 28 guage. Strangely, I didn't do a micro for this. Whenever I do rebuild it, I'll probably try that next. Next time I empty the tank, I'll try to get some shots of the build, but for now all I can say is that the patience is so worth it on these things. I usually notice when my battery is down to 3.7 or 3.6 on a coil like this, but the fogger works magic, which makes me have to pay closer attention to how low I run my batts because it's just so good, even when the voltage is running low. On my gennies I usually go a little sub-ohm, but I can't see a need here, even on this mech (a sigelei 8w in 18350 mode).

I've had great success with the Fogger V3. After my first couple of builds I found a setup that works flawlessly with no leaking and no dry hits. I like the Fogger so much that I now have three of them.
I just finished a few tanks of anise-flavored juice and I'm going to recoil tonight (after I set up a Diver V2 that is Out for Delivery). Since I see lots of people struggling, I'll take some pictures and post how I set up my Fogger for the benefit of others. I've seen some real interesting setups in this forum that I think are more complicated than mine, so hopefully it will help some people and restore confidence in this device.

I have 2mm Ekowool. Would 3mm xc-116 work just as well or better? And do you feed any strands through the holes or just .... it up against it? I had one going pretty good with sillica or the 2mm Eko with cotton at the holes, but it didn't wick well.
I'll post pictures later, I'm on my phone right now. Basically I do a touching 4 wrap of 30 Ga Kanthal on the XC-116 and flip it so the leads are sticking up. I push it down into the slot to make the angle easier to hook my long leads around the screws. After its connected I use tweezers to push the wick as high as I can for better airflow. I cut the ends a little past the threads and fray it a little bit so I can fill the wick slot about 90 percent. I cut past the threads so the wick makes contact with the glass. This allows you to externally adjust your chimney. I don't add the O ring on the chimney.
When I fill it I close the chimney and incrementally open it as needed by twisting the Pyrex to the right and then tightening the top cap onto it. Flavor off the XC-116 is boss compared to silica. I like how rigid the fibers are. It's better than ekowool too because ekowool tends to take on a flat shape when wet. Hope that helps.
I screw the chimney all the way down tight. Make sure that the fill screw is removed when you put the top on or the pressure will work against you. I put an extra o-ring on the top of the chimney (from the spare parts bag) before putting the top on to keep the tank sealed. When you fill the tank with juice, make sure that you close the AFC first, or it will flood the chamber and leak out the AFC. It probably doesn't matter, but I plug my finger over the chimney hole when I fill the tank (load up a syringe worth of juice, plug the chimney hole, remove fill screw, fill tank, screw down fill screw, and relax. Don't fill the tank to the top - maybe 80% full.
Its been said before.... this device is a love hate relationship. When it works, its great.... but when it doesnt work, and leaks all over the place! well..... it makes you feel like you need a cigarette!!!
