Next I will be comparing 48mg/ml plain VG from the following vendors:
MyFreedomSmokes NicSelect
Wizard Labs
Nude Nicotine

See which one has the most tolerable flavor plain. I'm not too huge on the peppery-ness of Nude nicotine.
Then I'll make some flavored juice using ~2-7% honeysuckle flavoring and menthol (separately of course).

I'm not a huge fan of plain flavorless vapes that have high nic levels. The taste of vaped nic is not the best I can describe. Some of the earlier VG mixes I used were plain with only about 24-36mg/ml nic which the VG masked the flavor of completely. VG has an odd flavor too imo.

The NicSelect is a lot less peppery and somewhat less harsh than nude nicotine. Both taste kind of gross as is. NicSelect has also got a mild funk to it, which I prefer slightly over peppery harshness. Not saying that I like the funk, I just dislike one more than the other.

I had taken a few days break from vaping to use nicorette lozenges. Forgot how harsh vaping can feel at times when using unflavored.

Since I prefer NicSelect over Nude Nicotine's I made a small batch using menthol crystal flavoring + NicSelect. The NicSelect seems to carry the flavor much better as there is no pepper flavor that needs to be masked/overcome by the menthol, meaning I can use less menthol to mask whatever unpleasant flavors I need to. I'm not huge on overwhelming flavors, I am simply trying to find the cheapest method of delivering nicotine.

I intend to make a batch using honeysuckle flavoring as well as test NicSelect vs WizardLabs. But WizardLabs order has not yet arrived in mail.

MyFreedomSmokes has excellent delivery, very punctual. So far I am very pleased w/this vendor. Gosh this small batch tastes better than 99% of the ejuice manufacturer's I had bought from previously... and I'm not even a menthol fan, in fact I dislike menthol flavors somewhat. My favorite flavorings being MtBaker's Guava and Ahlusion's Masla chai (so far at least). Ahlusion is too expensive to order premade juice from, I wish they sold their flavorings separately.

DIY is best.

Hey danny. Im actually very EXTREMELY happy with my MFS nic at the moment, so far it is a much easier and smoother vape than NudeNic.

If WizardLabs is somehow better than MFS I'll be insanely happy. NudeNic is like a burst of pepper, some may like that but it's not for me.

Fingers are crossed on WL. But glad I found MFS. Vaping happily now!

I use 36mg/ml and chain vape most of the time. On calm days I have some 24 that I use, but not often. I might lower it at some point, but 36 is working right now. I mix my own, but would never think of vaping close to 100. I started at 18 and it was not enough, kept going up until I hit what worked, no use going higher than I needed. I was a 2 1/2 PAD smoker for 40 years.

I understood it cotinine and I too am getting tired of legislatures wanting to ban e-cigs. It has nothing to do with health and everything to with with lost tax and big tobacco revenue

Wizard labs finally arrived. It took about 2 weeks and the lid arrived cracked, but whatever.

Mixed 48mg/ml wizardlabs nic with honeysuckle flavoring. It tastes good, pretty close to honeysuckle, however it is highly irritating to the lungs. Too bad.

Mixed 48mg/ml wizardlabs nic with menthol flavoring. It tastes about the same as the MyFreedomSmokes nic w/menthol.

So far menthol flavoring is the only DIY my lungs can tolerate, although I hate menthol flavor, lol.

To summarize what I've learned:

*48-60mg/ml nic is about as high as can be comfortably vaped.
*At 60mg/ml the pepperyness of nic begins to get hard to mask with flavoring.
*You can vape 100mg/ml, however, it is uncomfortable and probably not a safe practice. It tastes gross.
*Honeysuckle flavoring from WL is highly irritating to lungs.
*Nude Nicotine is the most peppery, imo
*WL is about = to MyFreedomSmokes in almost every aspect, MyFreedomSmokes perhaps has a mildly stronger funk odor, but it is barely noticeable unless you actively sniff for it, and is not noticeable while vaping.
*MyFreedomSmokes ships ASAP. WL is sluggish.
*If you don't like peppery nic vg, then don't order from NudeNic. However, all 3 vendors seems to have high quality nic, imo. It just comes down to preference and how patient you are.

I like simplicity. I use a bottom feed mod which works well with thick VG. I tend to vape through PG mixes faster than pure VG. Some of the flavorings from TFA already come mixed with PG so if I add 10% that is prob as much PG as is needed.

Menthol doesnt suffer from pure VG like some flavors. Some flavors get muted by pure VG, like MtnBaker's Guava, which also tends to be rather gummy.

Ideally I would mix 1 flavor I like with MFS nic for an all day vape. Kinda stuck with menthol atm, honeysuckle (TFA) was very nice tasting but I seem to have issues with it, like coughing that I dont get from menthol or plain.

PG only seems necessary to carry flavor. I guess that's why.

If there are no health problems related to PG you would rather start to add more PG in your juices. In your case looks like it even works in opposite way. You put way too much nicotine which makes you caugh and probably mutes flavors too. I think you have to try 70/30 PG/VG with 24mg nicotine then if its too much drop the ratio to 60/40 18mg. That way you might also get rid of your issues with flavors.

I have had the worst of the worst and that would be a cigarette called Miami found in Iraq, I would blow through a pack a day on patrol in Baghdad, it was a dollar a carton and there was blue fish gravel looking crap that would fall out and burn holes in my vest at times. Troops in the forum know what I am talking about.

48mg/ml is fine esp once you dilute it down about 5-10% with flavoring. It doesnt come anywhere near in strength to a 4mg mini nicorette lozenge and at times I'd often find myself with 2 in my mouth. I dont even get dizzy when vaping the 48mg. It just gets gross if you go 60mg+.

Ordered some cardamom and some ginger extract flavoring. Hopefully one of those will taste better than menthol.

I do have PG nic, I actually ordered it by accident.

36mg nic was rather underwhelming in terms of effect, using 48 adds just enough kick to where the effect approaches a nic lozenge.

I could probably quit nic at any time, however, it has a serious mood boosting effect for me so I don't think cons outweigh the benefit.

I switched to vaping bc nicorette loz get rather expensive.

It's even better than Ahlusion's Candy Ginger. At a sensible price too.

As for wizardlabs vs myfreedomsmokes i like them both fine I think...i haven't had the opportunity to directly compare 48 vs 48

I have 48 from wl and 100 from mfs so i have to cut the 100 with something always and cant make an exact comparison...i dont like the 0mg glycerine stuff...i probably will just end up going with whoever is cheaper...wl shipped fast for me

I like the input you have for flavorings i am interested in ordering some flavorings that are better than the one i used...it was just destroying my coils too fast and it's probably cheaper to buy better quality flavorings than to replace the coils so much

I also agree with the bottom coils...i use the smoktech t-dux 2.0 and it just buries the other tanks...i love it
