Cigarettes and vaporizing eliquid are two different methods of getting the nicotine into your bloodstream. A fair comparison can't be done unless one has an extensive chemistry background.

I know a guy that buys pure nicotine and he cuts it down to 10% and sells it to many. If he believed what you fearmongerers spread he wouldn't have skin in the game.

Sure you can't drink a liter of nicotine, probably even at 10% ......but I can rub it into an arm and not worry. I have done it.

So, you're claiming to have rubbed a liter of 10% nicotine solution into your arm, with no worries? Or, are you being as flippant with your writing as you are with dangerous substances?

What is the point in trying to refute safety warnings that are widely agreed upon, and advising people to throw caution, even common sense, to the wind?

Wow...

I wasn't referring to the rule. I think most of the rules are silly. I was referring to the stuff after the rule that is formatted like a quote.

And the PG/VG Roly sticky has always been a can-o-worms of minutia.... (To borrow your kind phrasing.)

I know. I was agreeing with you in a sort of "How far do we want to take this?" sort of way...

I doubt a cigalike is really truly transferring anywhere near the full % of nic in the juice. It's just not a strong producing bit of hardware. Now if you were vaping 52 (mixed, mind you so it's likely 50 or so, maybe less) out of a genesis style atomizer I'd say you done lost yer mind. But with a cigalike, you're getting nowhere near 52mg. Take the njoy, it's 45mg and it feels like 18mg. So with all things considered. This "52" is likely nothing more than a 24.

Yes, I've gotten 10% on my skin and didn't rush to wash it off. I RUBBED IT INTO MY FOREARM, more then once.......Guess what? NO BUZZ

I don't wear gloves mixing it. I'd be way less nimble and deft wearing gloves.

Would I advise others to wear gloves. Nope. Would I advise them to keep kids and pets away? yup.

I see a lot of overblown fear mongering here from far less experienced mixers then myself. I separate fact from fiction.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS? Liability...lawsuits....some scumbag trying to make a buck anyway they can., looking for an angle......its protection

Cool, I see you know the unwritten rules then. I'm just wondering myself, not about the unwritten rules, just about where it's going.

I guess the truth is none of us really know. We have a bit of faith and use our common sense.

Every day I see ads for the latest hottest happy pill and I'm told to "Ask my doctor about it" and I'm sure it's labeled USP and approved by the FDA. Then a few commercials later I see that I might be entitled to take part in a class action lawsuit if I've ever taken a certain medication that was also I'm sure labeled USP and FDA approved.

So I don't think any of us truly know much.

However; I just got some more PG/VG and another liter of nicotine this week and I can say with certainty that I'm not going to waste it by rubbing it all over my arm to prove... what was it again?

Do you also unscrew the bottle and stick you nose down real close and smell the wholesome goodness of it?

Why do so many people see 'fear mongering' in place of 'words of caution', I wonder? Real fear mongering generally has a benefit to the so-called 'monger', such as selling a product by inspiring fear of something in consumers.

The only benefit to be gained here by the so-called 'fear mongers' is the ensured safety of others in the community. I don't see why that should inspire such ire.

I don't particularly care if someone insists upon doing ill-advised things, but I won't stand by and not comment upon said person attempting to influence others to do the same. It's just the way I am.

That said, I don't wear gloves when working with my 48mg/ml nic liquid. I do take other precautions, though. Would I try to convince others to do it my way? No. Let them decide for themselves, after educating them with the conventional wisdom. That's my way, and I think that it holds some merit. I could be wrong, I suppose.

Peace.

Is this a contest of post count, time spent mixing, or helping folks and who are we stacking up against here?

Y'all have me beat. I'm just a newbie with nothing to offer, but I am amused.

Me too. I guess I didn't realize what sort of contest this was, or even that it was a contest...
