I feel exposed if I leave the house without my little battery box containing a spare 18650, a filled carto, and a little 3ml bottle of juice. I don't want to be in the position of having the urge to buy a pack. I'd probably buy a disposable at a convenience store, but some of the prices I've seen on those are ridiculous. One I saw was $38 and contained one disposable with an extra cart.

It's cheaper to carry the little pocket sized box and not need it. I'm kind of eccentric about filling my Protank before I leave in addition to the backup box. That gives me 6ml of juice total. I'm good for 24 hours.

Yeah, but my point is not whether I chose to risk going out without "backups". The point is....

1) I can always pick up a disposable at a gas station.
2) BUT (and this is the important part) I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S IN IT! TA? Dang! I don't have TA in my DIY juice.

Don't get me started on the whole "proprietary connector" thing. It was the battery I needed at the time, not the juice. But until they start selling 14500's in gas stations, I'm stuck.

If I was smart...I'd have had at least a spare super-mini battery with me and a carto, and avoided the disposable altogether. But that's another issue. I used to carry backups all the time. Not so much anymore. I prefer to travel light. I've only screwed up twice in the last 3 years. Not too bad for a nic addict. I now carry lozenges in my pocket.

All this happened BTW when my GF (who still smokes) stopped at a tobacco shop (where I purchased the disposable). I was actually pretty proud of myself for not giving in to the "nic monster" and bumming a cig.

Hmm, if youre gonna not vote for a candidate because theyre gonna take away liberties I guess you wont be voting because I sincerely doubt things will ever go in that direction again. Thier objective isnt to give us back any liberties, the objective is to make us get used to living without them so when they take away others it doesnt seem so drastic of a move.

And there are other candidates, a lot of them. Ever wondered why the media isnt in support of you knowing who any of them are or what thier positions are, other than the democratic and republican candidates? :) Democracy at its best, right?

Once the government takes away our liberties in the name of fighting terrorism (current-day tactics), it isn't like we will EVER see those liberties again, once the imaginary (or real) threat is behind us.

Not only is the war on terror designed to sustain itself (how can a war on terror really end? Nice choice of words Bush, terror has been around for over 6,000 years in civilized history, and since the beginning of mankind before that). The war on terror, is really a war against those OUTSIDE of the US who disagree with our foreign policy, and are willing to fight to (whether morally right or wrong, we've seen cases of both), and those INSIDE the USA, who disagree with our current administration, and the next one, and the government in general. (we've already seen extreme tactics and measures in place to attack those who speak out against our government, and more are being put into place now).

In the history of civilization, it is VERY RARE that once a leader/administration/government takes away a people's rights, liberties, and justice....for whatever reason....they RARELY ever get those rights back.

Patriot Act.....Homeland Security.....Echelon.....Prism.......these are just SOME examples of freedoms we have already lost...and will NEVER get back. Freedom and Liberty are NOT the kind of things that come and go. They just go :(
