My game changer was Blu. I used to travel 50-75% (2-3 weeks per month) until recently. It wasn't a big deal until all the airports, hotels, and rental cars went non-smoking. Airport to airplane to airport to car rental with no smoking allowed almost anywhere was tough. Blu was the first ecig that I could actually somewhat enjoy using almost a full day without smoking (because smoking it was against the LAW, not to quit).

I tried so many cigalikes & gums and they were horrible, but I really tried. Blu actually made me consider not smoking. I wish I had a Kroma or Suorin Air back then. However, I don't even know if those are allowed on airplanes?

I tried a Blue because I got it for my MIL ( had to have surgery and was panicked about not smoking for 3 Days in the hospital).

I took a couple puffs and thought, maybe not with the Blue, but maybe with some ecig, I could quit.

And it worked for MIL. 4 pad right to Blue. I was shocked!

I don’t know that there was a law against vaping in planes back then, I think so now, but I never asked, and never tried ( except a stealth in the restroom). But rental cars and hotel rooms, heck yeah I vaped.

I'd have to say ProVari was a game changer for me. It was the first APV which didn't disappoint, and which lasted years (still working like new). The revelation that devices which could perform flawlessly and satisfy for more than a season could exist.

Sadly they're no longer available. Is there another device of this quality available today? Not that I NEED a replacement, just wondering.

Sadly they're no longer available.

New ones are still being sold all the time on eBay. 2 of the 2.5 sold in the last day or 2 for $58 and $68. 2 more in the Metallic Emerald green also sold for IIRC $74 and $102. A seller from Florida sold a brand new white 1, with batteries, for $42 last week.

Have also been quite a few P3, Classics, and others on there, too, lately. Many of them are also brand new as well.

Dang, I honestly hadn't thought about checking eBay. I thought it was against their policy or something. I know Amazon is intolerant toward vaping products. Thanks for the heads-up!

You're welcome!

eBay is kind of fickle about what items it removes from the site and which ones it doesn't. Some vape stuff is and some isn't! There have been lots of Provari on there pretty steady for the last year or so. Prices do vary widely though, for used ones and new ones. Some of the exact same models and colors that have sold for the prices I mentioned above...are still on there with people asking $150+ for them! Just have to keep checking to catch the really good deals as they're listed usually, though some of those recently sold went for those prices through bidding, not Buy It Now purchases.

ETA: Here's a link to the SOLD ones, with all the Provari holders, wraps, etc. removed from the results:

Provari -(skin, wrap, holder) | eBay

To get the same limited search results, except for just the active listings...just click the X in the black circle beside Sold Listings, at the top of the page.

The question remains unanswered: Is there a current APV with ProVari quality? Let's say for someone who isn't a cloud chaser, nor wishing any similar bragging rights? A solid, extremely well built APV which is likely to survive for years? No sub-ohm, 200+ watt nonsense?

I buy vape stuff on eBay all the time. It seems like they might be requiring disclaimers and pulling sales that don’t comply. I see “must be 18” and “item contains no nicotine” on most of the ones I look at.

But I also think there are a lot of fishy sales. I saw a mod recently, exact same listing (and the description of the mod was wrong, wrong model) and pics, three different sellers in three different states, one had zero feedback and the others had one or two.

If eBay is pulling listings it could be due to scammers. So be aware.

Who's there?
My most recent game changer is discovering I love floral vapes. Primarily pairing honeysuckle and jasmine with various fruits.

Then i'd recommend pink lady by molinberry, if you can get your hands on it.
It's delicious, tastes like roses but then something more as well, may sound strange but it's amazing. Even bought their flavouring essence so i can DIY it. :)

The description of it is
Combination of floral & fruit notes: rose, hibiscus, maracuja and guava

No.

Provape's mission to help smokers quit helped form the choices they made in design, quality control, in house fabrication and component sourcing. In this market where ever-growing exaggerated specs and flashy appearance are what the mass market wants, nobody in their right mind would embark on such a plan again.

Some new devices are touted as being "as good as a ProVari" still today. They may hold up well but reaching the ProVari standard of quality and durability is still a goal at best.

That's my :2c:

If you have time, check the classifieds on here daily. Members list the Provis at ridiculously low prices. And many of them don’t sell. I think because the long time members are stocked up and newbies who need them aren’t verified yet. Almost every one listed is a no brainer if you need one.

I’ve purchased two there and if I had more money I’d have purchased 20.
