I got mine and it looks to be a perfect match for my Provari. I'm not gonna set it up until this weekend. Got some Cotton Bacon and new juice coming. Want to try it with new juice and not my edv juice.
Is it ok to put GEM and glass in a ultrasonic cleaner?
O'boy, you sure have some patience! I'd set-it-up straight away :D Congrats once again dear!

Before I needlessly Knee-Jerk to 28ga (I do prefer single-wire 26ga Ti for longevity), Qorax are/have you or anyone else using 26ga in their GEM 1 or have built w/26ga in their GEM II successfully?
Looking for some specific 1st-hand "It's a Go" reassurance ;)
Suppose it's not a big deal (or lotsa repeat time & effort) to re-Coil & Wick if I go with 26ga at first and she refuses to dance....
I have 26AWG (0,40mm) NiFe48 in mine, so that definitely works.

Yep, that about sums it up perfectly.

I built a 6/5 wrap 26ga Ti Coil on my usual 3/32" (2.38mm) bit. Cranked down on the Post Screws as suggested. Just barely fit without touching when ever so slightly spaced. Re-assembled, crossed my fingers, and mated it up to the WAEII 40. Quickly snapped the Button while monitoring the Screen and got the dreaded "Check Atomizer"... Started to freak a tad then thought to myself: Self,,, remember the adjustable Pin? Checked it and it indeed was screwed all In at manufacture so rotated the Pin outward about a turn & 1/4 and re-attached to the Wizard and popped the button again. SUCCESS. She properly asked "New Coil", hit Up to set, and then the Wiz read correctly at 0.23.
Set at 380* F (@ the standard Temp Offset when running Ti on a DNA40 calibrated for Ni200) and the Watts at 18. Tad hot and popping the Temp Limiter too quickly so lowered Watts to 17.
Viola! Nice. Very Nice indeed.

Have the AFC set to about 50% open. Tried 100, 33, and 67% open as well. The Half-Open gives me the Flavor & Mass and the Toot (I am Schizo so do both DTL & MTL at times) I like.
Filled with 80VG/20PG Mech Milk/Medussa Milk mix Liquid.

Thanks again to All for the OK on 26ga.
Thanks much as well for All who lauded MBP, the GEM and the GEM II that convinced me to procure both the WAEII 40 & the fantastically Awesome GEM II.
Add me and my  to the Bugs Brigade. Ya gotta getcha one (or more) of these ;)

Anyone tried a SS 317 or 430 build on the GEM II yet?
I assume the WAEII 40 will recognize the build as "Power" Mode due to its low TCR. Any confirmation of that assumption?
Considering trying the next GEM II build in SS and running in Power instead of Ti in TC just to compare Flavor and Vapor Mass production.
The Evolve Chipset in the WAE II supposedly (per the Manual) automatically detects and switches Modes as opposed to having a Manual Mode change Option.

It should flip out of TC into VW mode. If it doesnt, you can turn off TC mode manually anyway but I doubt you will need to!

Thanks for co-signing the logic.
Just in case (I do have another DNA 40 Device, a VS-VF, but have only ever used these in TC Mode so far), how does one switch Modes Manually? Doesn't it have to do with taking the Watts up past the Max then it switches or something like that? I should know this already and sorry to be a bother.

That's the Ticket. I had indeed heard that before. But, my poor old over-burdened feeble Mind musta misfiled that knowledge. Use it or lose it and I had lost it :D
Thanks for the Intel Steve :thumb: Sorry for the Aside folks.
Will put a 317L SS Build on this Beautiful Beast this Weekend and see how she purrs.

So has there been any solution to the 510 pin issue? I just did my first ni200 build on the GEM and I'm having to adjust the temp quite a bit to keep things consistent.

Regardless, the GEM(II) just came in yesterday and it's my first non chinese RTA since the KLP (which I hated, to be honest). I'm really, really relieved to just be able to use this thing without worrying about leaking. The Aromamizer and Serpent were driving me crazy in that regard. Definitely good flavor (although the Aromamizer, when it works, really upped the game in that regard). That little build deck is gonna take some getting used to though, as I've become accustomed to bigger wire (too bad too, since I have a new-ish roll of 24 gauge SS316L sitting here). Found some old 32g kanthal I had from ages ago yesterday and it was really weird to have a 2.5ohm coil going at 17w. Really happy about the flathead screws since I've stripped quite a few allen heads already on the other tanks.

Also, it perfectly matches the Dicodes No6. I'm usually all about function over form, but couldn't resist here... Here's a couple more pics I took..

+1 Mr. Q :thumb:

Re-built the GEM II w/430 SS 28ga, 7/6 wrap on 3/32" (2.38mm) I.D. yielding @ 0.6 Ohms (GEM II must add about 0.08 in residual Resistance). Tested several Wattages and finally settled on 17W w/AFC open about 33%.
WOW! Very Tasty :D Awesome Flavor, perfect Warmth, and great Vapor Mass.
Think I'll leave the Erl K Ti-built and run it in TC on the WAEII 40 and the GEM II 430 SS and run in VW.
She was real "Good" in Ti TC but she Kicks A in SS VW.

I can now attest that the WAEII 40 (as the DNA 40 chipset is set up for it & MBP) does not automatically shunt off TC to VW with a 430 SS Build. Had to run the Temp up past Max to manually flip that switch (Thanks again for the Memory-Slap Steve ).
