Gone through a tank of juice in a half hour because sucking it up into my mouth .
Maybe stupid question, but are you sealed the top cap?

I don't use a paperclip or a needle, that makes a tube and if you are not careful that is a straw to suck juice. Try rolling with just your fingers and pretty tight, you want a wick and not a tube.

I don't have a Line (yet) but did have the Hybrid from 'peaceoffcake'. I notice the Line uses silver wire like ours did.

One thing we noticed is that wrapping the kanthal could produce inconsistent results w/ vapor, resistance, etc. Some of us used ferrules like these to make the connection more stable.

Just a thought.

I had that thought as well. I use the same type for my Iatty, and they seem to make a stable connection. The ones i have are too small for the Lines silver posts though.

very good thought, as the inconsistency is because of the bad contact with the silver wires. If you make it to tight, the silver get's big dents and foresee it to break in a couple of weeks. Shapolin can you check with Van on this please!!

Can you show us the setup turbo?

I don't have my Hybrid anymore :( but... here are some from 'jens'. He was using different ferrules than us (his were larger diameter), but the concept is similar. The link I posted earlier fit the Hybrid's 1mm silver wire just right.

Others who didn't use the ferrule's mentioned that a wire wrapping tool like this worked well.

The key is to get a good tight connection, so there are a couple options. Of course there's always the screw/spring idea too ;)

Guys, got it to fire on my silver bullet. But no vapor. And the spring on my SB is sinking becoming flat and not springy. Any ideas why? Is it a short?
How can it fire if no Vapor?
If it is firing but no vapor (or little vapor) I would suggest the resistance is too high? for 3.7 SB. You'd want a nice LR 1.4 to 1.7 Ohms or so imo. Max about 2.5 Ohm.

So what do you do? Crimp the silver wire and the coil wire with one of these??

Tomorrow the main test, leak test at 30,000ft. I quit using or making tanks a long time ago for two reasons, they all leak at 30,000 ft and I don't like how the juice keeps getting darker and darker from wick contamination. The small size of the Line tank should not give it time to get contaminated so lets see what happens at high altitude and less pressure. 30,000 ft in a pressurized airplane is really the equivalent of 8,000 ft.
