I have two Genesis-style rba's, AGA T2's, that I use on my Provari. I found that I prefer a 2.0 ohm coil, adjusting the voltage to whatever flavors that I am using, not unlike what I do with my cartotanks.

I admittingly prefer a cooler vape as low resistance coils feel harsh on my throat and often mute many flavors. Could be because I had been a menthol smoker for over 30 years. This week marks my 1 year anniversary being smoke free. I'll likely reward myself with a second Provari soon.

I'm also using 30g wire, and pre-rolled stainless wicks (from Vapor Kings). I have had some issues with roaming ohms, as much as 1 ohm on both. I suspect it is a coil issue. The pre-rolled wicks work great.

I'm still primarily using my cartotanks after a week of bliss with the AGA's. I'm just more familiar with the cartotanks and they are always consistant and dependable. I've just not had time to mess much with the AGA's lately.

I hate roaming gnomes. OH, sorry, roaming ohms too. :D

What are you using to build your coil/wick assembly and how many wraps?

- Andy . . . Challenge in lieu of being challenged.

400 SS Mesh wrapped around a paper clip, 32awg 3/4 then 5/6. I found out why I was getting the E1 error Low Ohms because of the spacing of the coils. I'm waiting on some 500 SS Mesh and 30awg. I have it working right now, but I know I wrapped the coils to tight and its not as good as it could be.

Good deal . . . The #500 and 30g Kanthal is what I have settled upon.

I am by no means a RBA veteran, by any stretch of the imagination. I am quite enthusiastic about it though. As such, I have a second AGA T2, which I experiment with and practice making coils/mesh combos.

Much luck and a productive RBA journey to you . . . Enjoy.

I've been poking and prodding my coils this morning and the Ohms are coming up to where they are supposed to be for the amount of wraps I have and its vaping better.

When I refill my tank, I also perform a dry burn to check the coil. I have noticed that the flavor gets better, as the coil/wick assembly gets seasoned through more use.

- Andy . . . Embrace the day.
