To be completely accurate, I live in Alpharetta. A distinction no one outside of Atlanta tends to care about, but in the context of this list holds some relevance.

Cool. I used to play in a metal band. We played in Athens, Atlanta, weird places I've never heard of lol. Never got to play in Helen. though we did think about starting some type of classic rock cover band to play there. Stone mountain thing sounds kind of cool too.
They are still in business!!! Wow, that is a blast from the past.
I am actually in Acworth but work in Atlanta just getting it right lol.

If planning a BIG gathering for a Springtime cookout, it might be interesting to time it in conjunction with rolygate's recent announcement of WORLD VAPING DAY (to be known in some countries as NATIONAL VAPING DAY), scheduled for Thursday, March 22, 2012.
I'm not saying it's a good idea, but Stone Mountain offers TWO group camping areas (15 people minimum/35 maximum) @ $8.00/person/night, complete with Free WiFi, electric, heated comfort stations, fire rings, picnic tables, etc. (I have a tent: Hotels are also available.) If some folks would like to meet early (like on Thursday) and stay through Saturday for an afternoon 'vape FOR LIFE" 'covered dish cookout' we could probably get some publicity for the event from local papers, tv and radio...as well as support from any of the vendors who might like to join us.
I reckon the question is, "How BIG do we want this thang to be?"
OTOH - a simple afternoon get-together at a vape friendly tavern would be easier to organize, and give us a chance to sample each other's juice (without traumatizing Balthezar too much)!

That is great this way we can shop for vaping supplies in a big group to assure we spent even more money. "Oh Miken whats that drip shield you got there?" "Ben you get it at digitalciggz" "fantastic let me buy it quickly". "You raber what you got there for a juice" Wifi will kill my bank account when we have a vape meet lol.

Taco mac and starbucks sounds good but we won't be able to vape unless we sit outside by 30 degrees. Hooters is not my fav spot but they offer an outside area with smoking and it's closed in so it's warm. I am sure there are other bars that offer a covered outside area where you can smoke and we can vape.
Dixies - space might be limited, Sidelines in kennesaw - smoke friendly more of a bar, docs - wont even mention it further, too busy!!!
Sidelines is a good place IMO OK food, you can vape, it's big enough for a bigger group of people.
And usually fairly empty. If they had more room I would also recommend the Mexican restaurant next to there!!! If we do it there, we also have hobbytown USA so the DIY could go there to look for possible stuff(gears and rc helicoptor rotor parts for pot wheels!!!)
Hey guys - this bigger event sounds really exciting...and daunting...to try to plan and put together.
How do some of you guys feel about trying to plan something really informal for January so we can meet each other over coffee or dinner some place, whether they'll accept vaping or not - and we can put our brains together on planning this bigger scale event, see who can help where - a committee of sorts.
Would anyone be interested in getting together for a first meeting and planning session?

Balthezar - I noticed a list with locations and forum names of the folks who have responded to this get together idea. I doesn't seem a location has been etched in stone yet or a date? Would it help if we had a map...maybe a google map showing everyone's general location to somewhat centralize a meeting location? I could try to put something like this together if you think it would help. This sounds like a great idea so just trying to support your effort.
