So. They ask about nicotine. That's one way to raise rates and later deny claimes...

Completely incorrect Steve. The question they ask is "have you" not "will you". If you pass the test and can not be proven to have lied about the question then they can not deny the claim, period. As long as you don't make a "material misstatement of a fact relevant to whether they would or would not have issued the policy" they can't deny. Even if you were proven to be a s
Nicotine user they could only deduct additional premiums from the death benefit they owe.

The last one I saw said are you currently a nicotine user, former nicotine user and for how many years...
Of course they will deny a claim. They will say the nicotine use, which was not stated on the forms, contributed to a heart attack, or stroke... insurance companies have teams whose job it is to find ways to deny claims...

That doesn't make a difference. It can elevate blood pressure. If a life insurance company asks if one uses nicotine, they check no and pass a test, then drop dead from a heart attack, they won't pay the claim if the post mortem test shows up positive...

Long-term nicotine consumption lowers the blood pressure. It is only raised in the short term.

Vaping Quotes

As far as I am aware there is no evidence that long-term nicotine consumption raises the blood pressure, and would like to see the studies if you can link to any. Obviously, smoking can raise the blood pressure, but that is irrelevant.

I can cherry pick studies to 'prove' anything, but ultimately, where are the lawsuits? If nicotine is so beneficial, yet vapers -who are honest, pay more for health and life insurance, how is it none have sued? Seems like an open and shut case...

Lol.

1. No, you can't "cherry-pick studies to prove anything" - there simply aren't any studies at all that demonstrate chronic nicotine consumption elevates blood pressure. As I said - show me one. Cherry pick away, dude.

2. If you would like an amateur legal opinion from a different country - :) - then if the law is anything like it is where I live, a private enterprise can choose its contract conditions and the buyer either signs up or doesn't, according to how they feel about the contractual obligations. So an insurance company can demand you are 7 feet tall and weigh 100 pounds, if they want to, and they are entirely within their rights to do so. If you don't like it you don't sign up. You cannot sue them for setting their own conditions.

So we have just reached the point where no answers related to the original post are posted anymore......

Evidently no one who is reading this thread has an answer to your question.

If you click on the triangle located at the bottom (left hand side) of your 1st post you can request a Moderator move this thread to the "General Vaping Discussion" Forum. Maybe someone over there will have some information for you.

Totally agree with Roly, case in point: myself. I had to take blood pressure medication when I smoked. After 3 years of vaping, I had to stop taking it because the meds were lowering my blood pressure too much. I now have normal bp without medication - I'm 66 years old.

Robotronix, good job keeping the thread on target. Don't worry too much, you probably passed the urine test. Please, do keep us posted. Good luck to you!

Unfortunately, people ask these questions, we give them tips that may or may not work. Then they Never come back to let us know either way! We try to get the answers but unless people report back we never do. :(

While we wait.... we do tend to go a bit off topic. Kind of the way normal conversation rolls. Sorry about that.

Exactly.....I was at my doctors office yesterday, my blood pressure was absolutely perfect after chain vaping all the way there.
