Hate to be a downer in this conversation but it is not likely that anybody is going to stop replicas of mods or any other vaping device. If the Chinese can replicate intricate watches to a level that it takes an expert to tell them apart, they surely can replicate anything you throw at them. I am not talking about the cheap replica watches. There are various levels and the good ones are pretty darn close. The thing you have to remember is that there are people that will buy only the real thing and those that will never do so and just look for a cheap replica regardless of quality, function and durability, just to have the looks.

I agree... but those who want the original stuff and pieces, must know they have them indeed.
We're beating a dead horse here guys, the clones will always be made and so will knock off parts. We just need to inform users to beware that buying spares from unofficial sources has an element of danger. As far as the reviewers I have no gripe with them, they're just reviewing a product and not passing judgement. Any advertising is at the end of the day good advertising as I see it.

I think e-smokeguru has already started a list of GG customers with serial numbers of their stuff.
I don't know if clouds of vapor, or bitfumo does the same.
We can understand that will be a painful procedure, but must be done.

Considering CaptSteeve's words about spare parts, i'm just saying... god help us.
I have been thinking about a list kind of like this. Sellers document who what number is sold to. Then when they sell it is required by the seller or buyer to contact the list person to update. Kind of like the current list only it starts with the vendors. The only problem is this requires a lot of work for vendors and the list keeper. Another issue is not all buyers are going to be forum members and frankly there will be some that just don't care to update.
I guess the best thing I can think of is to just be careful who you are buying used GG items from.
Two weeks ago I bought a Ithaka from a friend, who bought it from another friend.
I discovered that the Ithaka Plastic (Between Center Post And Ceramic Housing) and the Plastic Nut Under Ceramic Housing... was from a clone!!!

Their business is all gg fakes and copies and they get to be forum suppliers? That is just so wrong.
What I think is more wrong is that all of this information is available in one place (on this forum) and people still choose to buy there. ECF shouldn't be policing suppliers beyond their written rules. Customers can police themselves, but apparently some don't care.

Maybe in the procedure of registering ariel can have a list from Cov and Smokguru of buyers and order numbers,
And when person ask to register a serial number he will had to add is order number from Cov or Smokguru.
This an extra work ( sorry Ariel) but this way you can verify that the register item is genuin!
Pepole that dont have order number they can provide to be verify in Cov or Smokguru client list
will not be able to register there GG.
The authentification of GG owner must be 100% correct no less.

And there was not also of Darwin?
I think it is becose they have somthing that is hard to copy,
Provari has its ceramic coating and the 2 of them have the specific electronic chip with
A specific softwer inside them,this is more easy when electronic softwer involve.
And maybe there sould be somthing like that on a GG that will be hard to to copy.
You can also consider adding or developing some meterial that is not on the indastrial shelf even with extra
Cost this will be made only in Greece and it will not be somthing easy to discover how it can be done.
All things regrding shape of the product I think will not be enogh as they can easly copy this days using 3D scaning and high end CNC,so
I dont think this will block the problem.
Just a tought,the pepole on the GG forum that allready taste your products are safe as they understand the issue
