Well, my GG arrived today, and it's beautiful. Charged the batteries up, tried it, and I'm in love. Frankly, it seems beyond cruel that I'm being forced to send it back to Greece after only just receiving it.

So my quick question . . . would it be possible to pay extra and get the brass fittings for the caps? I'd order them from Tim in a heartbeat, but I'm trying to save on shipping costs.

If it would be possible, please let me know the amount to send (which would be in addition to the 12 euro charge).

Thanks!

I feel your pain, Julie. Mine is winging it's way to Greece even as I type. :(

Yup. It's a terrible thing. Terrible.

But being able to purchase some new brass fittings might ease the pain a bit. :D And now I'm really, really regretting not having purchased a cute little bag for it, too. I don't suppose Imeo has any of those laying around for sale, too . . . .

Couldn't tell ya - sorry. I'm sure Imeo will be along soon to answer, though.

I sympathize with you Julie. Mixxy also had hers about 24 hours before she shipped if off.

Suzi, Rejoice and others are going through withdrawals too.

I wasn't going to send mine back, but I had bought a GG for my son that came in - so my son doesn't get it til the other one comes back hahaha!!

I'm sure Imeo will get them back to people as soon as possible.

Hang in there... :)

I feel for you guys that just got it only to have to turn right around and send it back. Such a tease that must feel like. But honestly, I don't think it's any easier even if you've had it a while. I'm pretty miserable trying to cope with my 510 which I was mostly happy with before my GG. :(

I got the impression he was going to wait until the deadline and fix them all in one batch. Maybe he'll have mercy on us and try to get some of them back a bit earlier. I'm hoping...

I am also curious if there is a way to just have the button sent to me...There was a thread that I saw that said you could have the switch threaded in yourself...Is that still available??? Thanks

Drew, I was thinking along the same lines. So I asked a neighbour of mine, who does a lot of metal work, if it would be possible for him to tap a thread into the body of the GG. He had a look at it & said he just would not like to risk giving it a go due to the fact there was no margin for error as there was so little depth to put a thread in. However, he was extremely impressed with the GG & said it was a beautiful piece of very solid engineering :)

I have been going around and around on this myself. Personally, I'm more afraid of batteries venting then something touching the button...and that's just a fact of life with Li Ion batteries sometimes.

I'm always mindful of metal tables (they have them at one of my favorite bars) and there was only one time I had my Nano in the same hand I was holding my car keys...I switched hands real fast when my keyring got hot! But other then that, it hasn't been a problem. And I don't have the guts to lick the button...hehehehehe

So I'm not going to have the new button put on. I just can't part with her!

If it's not broken, don't fix it ;) thats why my 2 version GG is not upgraded.
