The beauty of snus and snuff is it's pretty inexpensive to try several different types (at this point...before they start taxing the devil out of them).
My recs are not going to be so useful as my nicotine tolerance is fairly low at this point - like whimzkool, I'm looking for the alkaloids and a good rush now and then. Plus I'm boring here; I've found a few I like and stick with 'em.
I've seen Thunder Original and Frosted "Mini Plus" snus with 8mg nic/portion (compared to most minis which seem to be in the 4-5mg range) if you're looking for a compact snus.

Until you get a better handle on what works and what you like I'd really suggest trying a can of Thunder Frosted Mini's. They have a light spearmint flavor, very little salt and are very, very discrete. The best part is they pack 8 mgs of goodness in that little pouch, so you get the benefits of a full-size portion in a mini. They'll also let you know if 8mg portions are the right range (8mg being average level for the majority of snus). TV! Glad to see you finally found the magic formula. My disappearance was a combination of being a PV failure, having 3 jobs, 3 teens, the old man's health issues, and me being injured at work. I have been lurking occasionally and getting my usual fit of crippling laughter from your posts.

No one else's posts make me laugh out loud like TV's. Really, I want to see him write Essays on Life. Sounds like your average narrow-minded 'bacco policy. Sure, some people might find it disruptive to have vapor or spit inside, but snus is completely 'internal' and discreet. Sigh. (Just say you've taken to getting your tea the direct way without steeping it in all that unnecessary water.

Madame, we had issues with a couple of "gentlemen" spitting in coffee cups, and setting them in trash cans where others were exposed when emptying them. The policy is across the board. If it even looks like smoking or chewing, it's out. Part of my desire to quit is that smokers are required to use a little shack outside. 10 minutes in there, and you REEK.
As usual, I am late in finding this thread. You have already received some great recommendations. I can put a second in for the thunder frost minis. They are small enough that no one can tell you have one in and they carry 8mg of nic. If you like the mini mints, then the general mint is a good regular portion at 8mg. I think the OR coffee vanilla you mentioned is really good too. As far as snuffs, I am new at using them and am just working off of a few samples that someone sent me until my order comes in next week. If you want to try some different toque snuffs you can order from their website and get free shipping. Also, if you order snus from getsnus then you get a free can with a five can or more order. Hmmm, I might be able to pass that off. Everybody rides me about my stiff coffee (I use a couple heaping teaspoons of instant in ea. cup). They've been sayin' I need to just forgo the H2O........ 'course, anything oral, gum, candy etc., is a no no while wearing respirators, but still......

Menthol plus from WoS menthol plus is a bit irratating to my snotlocker and throat but hedges is just right... Go figure.
Apple spice theraflu for sore throats and aches is marvy and groovy.
Pick up a smashbox or 3 they are handy and keep the snuff fairly moist.

I snus and snuff at work - not a problem...I even sneak a vape...it fits in my hands and I just hold it in if someone is nearby ....( shhhhhhhh dont tell )
