Thank Gawd we got some rain a couple days ago, because I was thinking the same thing about our little prairie farm... leaves falling off early, green grass turning yellow... Anyway, that last pic and the one below (The "official" Smith Rock at Smith Rocks State Park) were taken from the peak I climbed to in one of the pix a day or so ago. Fun stuff, that. I miss doing it.
I also grew up and spent most of my life "somewhere near the Cascades" - most of it on the wet side, but the most fun was after moving to the Bend-Redmond side of the mountains.Fuzzy......I have had too much dry.......I live in the "wettest" part of the US and it's not supposed to go for 3 months without rain....I don't care if I ever see another dry tree ever again....they are falling over because it's so dry....
