Just be grateful that alcohol doesn't have the same unfortunate side effect on you Katz that it does on me (which my husband finds extremely fortunate.. lol) I have to be very careful indeed where I am at when I go to have a glass of any alcoholic beverage, because on top of that I have no tolerance.. lol

@jpbavaro - They are just so so so precious! Tell them we said good morn'nite to them too! (I am sure the will understand perfectly!) It is so cute as in that pic it looks like they are holding hands!

Here is another picture I took, this one in walking distance to my house:

Ok, now I gotta know what the "unfortunate side effect" is that your husband benefits from? [emoji12]

Busy Labor Day.... Got the front yard cut (and cut the neighbor's front yard) Too hot and she has too many soggy spots for me to finish the trim work (too many times the rider got stuck in the muck.)

Cleaned the grill (that's another one of those "that sounds like fun" projects that turns into a "what the heck was I thinking????") Other neighbor (Uncle Kermit) came over and dropped a new circuit so my fridge/microwave/window air unit stops blowing a breaker.... Just a little too much current draw for that one little breaker....

Rewicked my Velocities today. Sitting down now for a nice vape and some cool inside temps. Chili cheese dogs are on the menu this evening :)

9/7 - 4: Great minds thinks alike, that is what I am going to do tonight and leftovers for lunch, homemade chili cheese dogs.

Not just a Bama fan...I'm a Bama girl born and raised! Grew up on a farm between Tuscaloosa and Birmingham...still have family there I visit every year. My 3 nieces all go to Alabama too (feel sorry for their parents for the tuition bill though! :p)

9/6 - 5: My mother who has passed went to Alabama, so the Tide is a part of my heart and favorite college team.

Just want to ask my TreeFam for prayers for some friends of mine. Year or so ago, my friend was diagnosed with breast cancer. She also tested positive for BRCA. Double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery - she's doing pretty well these days. However, her husband was just diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. They're awaiting some additional test results and potentially six months of chemo treatments. They have two high school-aged children (who really shouldn't have to go through this *AGAIN*....) My friend's mother is my neighbor, and *SHE* is having some neck surgery on Tuesday.

I believe in the power of prayer - any of you who also do, please join me and lift up my friends.... Thanks :)

Prayers and healing for their awful awful situation. I believe in prayer and positivity and hope that the people around you are lifted and carried though this

Thanks Uncle, Robin and Shawn...you know it's funny, but my kids always call me first every time something happens...even when it's something they know I can do nothing about...especially car related problems...my favorite was when the twins took a cross country road trip to California after high school graduation and called me one morning from San Diego(too bad I wasn't on here then, I could have hit Count up for help :p) to tell me the car was on fire:shock:...I had to actually tell them to get off the dang phone with me and call 911!...And of course my bf and I ended up having to take care of things from here, like getting them a hotel room (on 4th of July at the last minute...yeah that was near impossible) and find someone to take care of the car, and arrange flights back home for them. That was a nightmare that the boys ended up taking almost a year to pay me back for! (Almost took a year before I was willing to speak to them again too!)

Tiggs, (((hugs))) for you darlin'!

Shawn, I would have guessed on the movie, but to be honest, my brain is not working at all today so I have no idea!

it would have taken me at least that long! My son does that kind of stuff too...I'm glad he still "needs" me but really??

Everyone enjoy their day/night

{{hugs}}

Count isn't the only one that wants to come to dinner. Maybe you need to buy more hot dogs. ;)

Don't read this: I really hate to talk about pain, but I gotta say something to someone because Wifey already knows what I'm going through and seems like I can't say it to her anymore. You see, because of my back and knees, I have been on generic Vicodan (hydrocodone) for over 15 years. Three months ago, when we started vaping instead of smoking, I also decided to quit taking the drugs. While the pills took care of the pain, they also numb the brain - a lot! I was sick of not having full control of my mental faculties, so my stubborn streak said I can stop taking this crap and just buck up and conquer the pain all by myself. Well, it appears to have worked, but I didn't have any undo physical stress during the past three months. I just went out with the chainsaw (the small one, not the logger chainsaw I normally would use) and cut up a tree that got knocked over by a storm last month. It was all I could do to just hold the chainsaw and cut the tree, then pick up the rounds and wheelbarrow them to the garage to be split later. My arms are shaking (I'll go back and fix the spelling errors before I hit the reply button) and my back is screaming and I feel like I should just curl up in a ball because I'm obviously not fit to do this kind of work anymore. But there is no one else here who can do it for me, so I gotta. Shucky darns. OK, I have said it. Now I'll shut up and return you to your regularly scheduled program. Sorry I vented and I won't do it again.

Me and Lannie, back in the good old days, having just found the top of Cache Mountain (you can see it is a steep edge).

I can't even begin to imagine what living with chronic pain is like. I had some back troubles about 20 years ago - bulging disks, one of which ruptured. That pain was short-lived (although the 13 hours from the rupture until the pain medication started kicking in seemed like an eternity.....) Surgery to repair, and within another day, I was basically pain-free. Little spurts every now and again, but nothing for which I need routine medication. Cannot imagine what 15 years of Vicodin does to a person....

I applaud your resolve in trying to rid yourself of medication. I'm sorry it's not going better for you.

Lifting you and Lannie up, Fuzzy.... I pray you (both) peace :)

Thank you folks for your thoughts. Chronic pain is not fun. I have had total knee replacement on both legs (can't get through a metal detector now and they do still hurt; just not as bad as before), but the docs tell me they cannot fix the spine. The MRI looks like an aerial photograph of a train wreck. That'll teach me to fall off a cliff, then walk several miles back to the truck because I was dumb enough to be alone in a wilderness area in a snow storm. No elk were harmed during that adventure. :) But enough of that. I will conquer this. I have to. No one else can live my life for me.

18 best lightning shot Ive made.jpg

Thunderstorms in central Oregon were never as nasty as South Dakota's, so I often sat out on the deck and pointed the camera at the sky. Every once in awhile, I actually caught a decent shot.

@Fuzzy Thunderbear and @Opinionated - I'm sorry you both are suffering.

I deal with chronic knee and back pain, but rarely share here because it's a constant.

Everyone is welcome to vent here. The tree fam always reads, cares, prays and sends good vibes to our fellow treeps. Just sayin'...

Good evening tree fam. Been a long day so I haven't posted much!

I can relate on the chronic pain here is a picture of my Lower Back!
WP_20150226_16_12_14_Pro.jpg
July of last year three months out from surgery to fix a bulge at L5 S1 I fell 12' from a ladder and had a Burst Fracture at L4 now I have L 3,4 and 5 fused with the steel Rods you see and currently in switching pain management doctors cause the office I was seeing dropped me when e filed bankruptcy last week so I'm being weened off my meds while I'm waiting to get in at the new doctors so my pain level is a thru the roof!! I feel yalls frustration with not being able to do normal routine stuff. I'm 35 with a 10, 2 and three year old and I stay at home with the lil ones since I can't work due to the permanent nerve damage.

Home from work and cooking burgers and dogs on the grill. It turned out to be a busy day at work today and TGIF for me.

I won't get into all the chronic pain that goes on in our house but trust me I can relate to all of you that have problems with it.
