Wierdest dental exp ever was getting my wisdom teeth out at a Naval outfit in Okinawa...the docs talked about golf the whole time and I was flyin high on nitrous
The Air Force removed my wisdom teeth while I was stationed at Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson, AZ. They used, of all things, Sodium Pentathol (a truth serum?) - I was top secret, so I wonder how much I told them. It wore off before they were done and he broke the molar right in front of the bottom-right wisdom tooth, so they shot me up with Novocaine, which didn't have the desired effect, and I ripped one of the arms off the chair while trying not to scream multiple obscenities. Then I had to come back for a root canal and crown on the broken molar.
@Fuzzy Thunderbear Help me out here...This pic is unlabeled...guessing it's near Coos Bay, Orygun

..although that nub sticking out in the distance remins me of Pismo Beach, SLO .(not our Slo

)..
Hmmm.... the cape in the distance looks kind of like Cape Lookout in Oregon, but that tiny spire on top of it, presumably a lighthouse, is too far inland. The one on Cape Lookout is right out near the end of the cape. Also, the single rock in front of the cape and close to the beach is typical of northern Oregon, up near Seaside and Cannon Beach, but they don't have such a cape there. Maybe it is southern Oregon, near Brandon... Got me... can't place it exactly.
BIL used to do the ice racing thing - went and watched once - them guys are nuts.
I would only have tried racing in the ice if they permitted studded tires. Here's the last bike pic I'll post (I promise). It also has wild daisies for the flower children.
Here's some more of my trees. At the time, my gas-powered chainsaws were broke, so I loaded up a generator and used the electric chainsaw to harvest a dead Cottonwood that got blown down by a storm.
