Just when I think it's going to be a calm day, up jumps the wind! Happens alot this time of year...Wind comes and goes all day long.
This is how you transport a goat Alaskan style. I'm in the front seat looking back. 2 hours in a truck with a stinky old stud goat..not nice!!
I can only imagine the looks I'd get if I tried this cruising down Rodeo Drive ...

Missed being on yesterday. Was just a looong day for me. Ortho Dr said I fractured the last bone on the left side all the way across ( 5th metatarsal). Good thing was that it did not completely break in half and should heal fine with time. so I was upgraded on footwear for the next month and go back to him on Nov 17th.
New Footwear.
so I guess i will be trying to sit as much as possible watching

@BamaBabe4Ever ouch! ..sounds painful...If you can get off crutches, at least that's an upgrade ...is the doc letting you walk on it yet (with your new boot) ? Maybe not ..my break was on the ankle, not the foot..
Well..guess you'll just hafta catch up on your reading ..painting?? ...scrapbook? soaps??
At least the lil go carts at Walmart are fun..if you can snag a working one...Bring a walking cane with a bend on the handle with you so you can rake in things higher up into your basket

It's a little nicer here today..not so much wind.....although it might rain.....I had something to do so now I am not sure if I will go out and do it or not....I'm going to have to get really motivated....

You have to look for the bald eagle clear up on the top of the middle trees ...and then again in the second pic...not sure if that's a second bald eagle flying away... They're pretty common in the Alaskan coastal areas...not so inland. My friend's dad had just died at home that morning....we saw the eagle's visitation as a sign. A good omen.
I haven't figgered out how to do that yet...get really motivated...For me..I just have to start..just have to start at it...if I can get past that, I'm good. Then I feel stupid that I avoided it for so long...but that's my reality. I don't think anyone that doesn't have that problem can relate...

Tiggs @tiggerrts ...stay away from those wasps ....these out west here don't seem to be as aggressive as the Midwestern wasps/yellow jackets...I had one fly up my nose and sting me in Ohio once ..and I was standin in the doorway mindin my own business! scheesh ...that hurt..
I had heard that aspirin was a good remedy for stings...that and tobacca..Didn't have any aspirin but I had some Alka Seltzer ..and THAT has aspirin in it...so I thot.."Why Not??!" ...My eyes were waterin so bad from the sting I couldn't hardly see...my friends started bustin out laughin'! Apparently I looked like I had Rabies...eyes all messed up and foam comin out of my mouth and nose...I didn't think it was funny
I believe this is My Shasta from the Highway ..on one of my many roadtrips...

Spent a lot of this morning researching the situation and steps to take. Unfortunately, it's not likely to be an easy/quick fix. The security breach was at a credit reporting agency (yeah, one of the big three), so the thieves have just about everything they need to clone me on paper. Not aOh no!Hopefully it gets resolved quickly and easily.

Just the little I've done on the 8.1 so far while working on setting up the machine has not been fun - navigation and finding things is very different. Did get a bit easier the more I did but it's going to take awhile to figure out.
Haven't finished the upgrade on the new machine yet. The download portion took forever and finished when it was time to head for bed. Then it started the install - didn't want it to do that. I didn't look at it before leaving this morning so no idea on how it went.
I would have preferred to get all the 8.1 updates on before going to 10 but looks like MS screwed me on that.
Only reason I'm going to 10 is because it's a new machine and I figure get it all done in the beginning so I don't risk losing anything I put on there. Not going to even think about upgrading the win7 on my laptop.
I'm wondering if there is much difference between 8.1 and 10. It's going to be hard on the wife figuring it out - luckily all she does is look at her pictures and surf the web so she won't need to learn how to navigate most of it (she didn't with 7).

@mac63 (..and anyone else wh'd like to offer their...)Let me know what you think about Windows 10. Every one of my friends refuses to download the "Free Upgrade to Win10"...the "upgrade" from Win 7 , that is.
