25 times? Ouch! That's enough to warrant avoiding them even if you weren't allergic....

There was a store near my house and the shortcut to it was a path in the woods. I was walking along the path, stepped in a hole that turned out to be a yellow jacket nest. They felt threatened so they swarmed me. Yellow jackets can sting multiple times and they were pretty ...... off that I disturbed their nest. My leg swelled double the normal size and I had stings over my entire body.

My long weekend has officially started.

All this stinging talk - I had a few as a kid and one as an adult - that one nailed me right on the temple, hurt but no bad reactions. Had a friend when I was stationed at Quantico that got hit 8 or 10 times and after the paramedics got him stabilized they said 5 more minutes and he wouldn't have made it.

Mac, that's why I have a epi pen on me at all times. I have one at home, one in the car and one in my locker at work. One sting won't kill me, 2 will.

I've known a few people that carried them or at least kept them close. I don't think this guy had ever been stung before - he was lucky someone else was there and called 911 when he went down and that the ambulance got there fast. He spent the rest of the day and that night in the hospital plus a couple more days mostly in bed. Size don't matter for that stuff - he was a big guy in real good shape.

Good morning everyone. Not really morning but it is for me. Was up all night with the worst tooth pain I have ever had. Tylenol and motrin did nothing for it. Finally got to sleep around 6:30. So glad it isn't hurting now. Have a great day everyone.
Yes dale....I am sorry about the pain......something about the cooler air in Autumn always seems to make my teeth hurt more....or maybe it's the Halloween candy..............well anyway...healing energy being sent.......
