Good morning, everyone.

Amlowe, I'm sorry about your family difficulties but pleased to hear about your grandmother's improved condition!

Lynn, I agree with Uncle: Show them the Devil!

Good morning Treefam............I am up and need coffee..........
Ditto to what Uncle said...............put your foot down now with more that you expect......that way if you give in with anything...it won't be something you didn't want to give in the first place..........

1. Good afternoon Treefam! It's a rainy, stormy day here...we're getting the remnants from Patricia...the power was off when we woke up this morning, but luckily it came back on after a couple of hours...not looking forward to driving home in this mess later on though.

Angel that was a really nice PIF you did that I saw on another thread! You are so sweet!
Thank you jpf...it was something I was happy to do...and as it turns out, it had perfect timing and helped to make someone else's day a little brighter! That's what it's all about for me! :)

@LynnNC - I know exactly where you're coming from with your son. I had similar problems with my oldest son when he was 17. Being a single mom, he thought he could just run over me and do what he wanted. I quickly showed him that wasn't going to happen and when I enforced the rules, he decided he'd just run away. It was a rough time for all of us, but he got quite a surprise 2 weeks later when he called me and told me he would come back home, but only if he could do what he wanted. That was when I told him I loved him, but he was no longer welcome in my home until he decided to follow the rules. Well he didn't come home, but he did end up going out and getting a job, found a place to live and started supporting himself...we have long since made up and he is now an upstanding, well for the most part, young man with a family of his own! I couldn't be more proud of the young man he's become!...Hang in there girl and stick to your guns! And like Uncle said, show him that devil!

@CountBoredom - How was date night? Nosey, I mean inquiring minds want to know. ;)
Date night was mellow. We had thought about having a nice dinner out--but neither of us was very hungry. We had thought about going out to see a movie--but we were afraid of falling asleep in the theater (each having had 4.5 hours of sleep the night before, and 6 the night before that). In the end, we ordered take out, watched a movie at home, and retired early... just what we wanted! :)
