Good morning Tree Peeps!

Hey, maybe someone here on this relatively calm cool and collected thread can answer a question for me. I was wandering around other threads and note a great deal of hostility, anger, people being huge jerks for apparently no reason at all. To me, saying it is cabin fever, winter doldrums, or even Santa not bringing them their desired toys are just excuses for people who, prior to today, I thought were OK but are turning out to be major buttheads. Seriously, if today was my first day checking out this forum, I would not join it at all. What is wrong with people today? I grew up with the belief that if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all, so I fail to understand what is wrong with these people. They seem to be screeching at others who did not post anything wrong/bad. Sigh...

I don't get it either.........what is wrong with the world today?
I heard somewhere the other day about how it used to be if someone made you angry you would argue with them...sometimes punch/hit them....but today they pull out a gun & shoot them right out of the chute...usually because they are angry at someone/thing else............I don't get why Anger management isn't being taught more.......

I never needed anger management. I've never punched anyone (uh, does the cow count?) and I've owned guns all my life and have never shot anyone... maybe @Uncle can help us understand.

I hope you didn't really hurt the cow...............
If he can then he need to explain it to the rest of the world.......I see it happening....I understand it's going on....but I don't know why.....I have a few theories........but nothing that really makes sense to anyone but me.....because of the way I think......(it's back-as-words)...........my easiest explanation is the Universe is shrinking!......

The problems, IMNSHO, are population. In the 50s, there was a sense of peace and prosperity that came after winning the war and surviving the depression that preceded it.

The world's population was 2.5 billion.

Today, we're going into our 15th year of war. Gas prices, although down, are still at record highs while income has not kept up in any way, shape, or form.

The world's population is nearly 7 billion.

We have no closure to the war, and we have no closure to financial crisis, and we have no elbow room...

Well I see I am not alone in creating theories for this currant problem.......Yes Shawn there are too many people and over crowding is part of the issue...

And Tigg the thing is everyone wants..and wants it now......but want is not need.....I noticed in the Christmas story "A Christmas Carol" ignorance and want.......but it seems to me that the definition of want is not the same as is was..........children want things that they can't ever have (like a pony, when they live in the city) but adults used to be more reasonable....and wanting things that were more practical....like a new car or something they actually needed...
Maybe in part because people never grow up.....now a days they feel like they don't have to.....
Just a little of my opinion.........
