Ok so got a question. I have never tried sub ohm vaping before, but I have a koopor plus on the way and will be buying a new tank for it. I use 16-18mg nic now at 1.2 to 1.9 ohms. How far should I drop my nic level to sub ohm?

Some of it depends on how you vape and at what resistance. 6mg would be good, but it may feel a bit lacking at first. 12mg might be good for a short time, unless you chain vape. When I started sub-ohming I went from 18 to 12mg, also found some juice at 9mg which was perfect to transition down. I vaped 9-12mg for about 6-8 weeks, then stepped down to 6mg.

I tried 18mg to 6mg, but it was just too light at first, even sub-ohming. You can get just a bottle or two of 12mg at first and thin it out a bit if needed.

I'm at 6mg now, but mix some 3mg from time to time and will be stepping down to 3mg soon.

In wattage mode, I usually vape at between 0.3-0.6 ohms. In TC, 0.15-0.25 ohms.

I would also suggest looking for a tank, if using pre-made coils, that has some flexibility in coils. Some companies have coils from 0.2-1.5 for their tank, makes the transition easier. Even better if you can build your own, then you can change the build as your taste changes.

I still maintain, Angel, that you have a very good boss. Most people people I've worked for would, at most, offer to pay for lunch after such a week.
Actually I think I have a very good boss too...I joke and complain, but I really do love my job...and it's not really my boss that drives me so crazy, it's the clients! Haha! :p
@angelphyre I agree ...getting any acknowledgement of a job well done is getting to be unusual these days:rolleyes:. Considering the nature of the Beast you work in ....overtime and extra are just part of the job, am I right . Congrats on the raise and Bonus!
I have to say, my boss is usually very good at letting me know she appreciates me. Doing extra and staying late is part of the job from time to time, but I can also take off to take care of something without any hassle. I really couldn't ask for a better job. :D

Good morning, Tree Peeps! The sun is up, 26 *F (they say we'll be above freezing today), wind is light... OK, put on your best Mr. Rogers' singing voice
There's a boo-ful Dane in the neighborhood ( ? must be Wifey)
Won't youse be my Nay-Brrrrrrr?
Err, summat like dat. Oh vell...
How far should I drop my nic level to sub ohm?
Depends on what juice you are sub-Ohming, what equipment you're using, what wattage... Wifey, using a Disrupter with SubG tank (0.5 Ohm) at 30-40W went from 12 mg to 3 mg overnight. The higher nic at higher watts and direct-lung inhales gave her a headache, but she insists the flavor is 100 times better than tootle puffing. I did not get that result.
Please post below , if you wish, what Watts /ohms and VG (PG) you tried the Extra at ...and your thots. Thank you.
Lannie started at 20W and is now, mostly at 40W with the Disrupter, 25-30W on the K-box, and 27W on her iJoy mini. She has not tried the EXTRA, but I did at 25W on my iStick TC40 with Triton tank, then tried it at 14W (same mod) with Protank-II (1.8 Ohm coil) and, to me, the taste was the same.
...as u can c...I'm livin' in yesteryear .
Well, hon, yesteryear is the last time anyone made tolerable music. :)

@Roadtrip635 and @greasegizzard thanks for the info. I plan on getting a rebuildable tank. Not really interested in a dripper, as I love the fill and go convenience of a tank. I think I am finally ready to "modernize".
Might I suggest a Kanger Subtank (Plus or Mini)? Pre-built coils (0.5 and 1.2) AND an easy-to-build RBA section.

And, now that Blue is up, I can finally get ready for lunch and errands..! :)

I've always heard to drop it by half. I was using 12mg. When I went to better stuff I had to go to 6mg. After about a month, I started using the cCell coils and had to drop down to 3mg.
I would also say 1/2.....so if you are doing 16-18 I would ask GMO for a 9 MG.....even if it's not listed he can do it....special request....you might even find that a 6 mg is enough.......

to answer some of yesterday's posts..........
1/25 Entry #4

Can anyone tell me which of the Vape Tree juices are boldly flavored?:tumble:
When you go the website look for the (Ex) Extra tab on the top....you will find the "bold" extra flavors there...

What's the deal with the Extra flavors? I read they're intended for sub-ohm and that you can't pick a pg/vg ratio. Are they just max vg?
They are made for Sub-ohm...and he has designed it to taste a certain way...............................
So there is no choosing the pg/vg%...........

Thanks for all the great advice everyone. I was actually looking at the subtank, and a few clones of it as well. I like the option of using pre mades or switching over to rebuildable. Still gotta pick up some good 18650s and a charger, but I found those for a good price.

I really like RTA's, I hate buying coils. There are a lot of good ones to choose from, I think you'll like using them.

Alright @DaleH1985, I've (almost literally) got 'em all. The Kanger Subtank Mini is a great device to start with, but after a while, it feels a bit restrictive. And, unless you get the Toptank, is still bottom fill. I have and use a Kanger Subtank Mini daily, but it's no longer my favorite. Instead. I love the Eleaf Melo 2. The airflow is a bit more open (not that you'll want or need that at first), there is a nice available RBA head for it, and as it uses Atlantis style coils, there are really no limits to what you can find and use. Oh, and the top fill is probably one of the best anywhere!
