In a one-story pink house, there was a pink person, a pink cat, a pink fish, a pink computer, a pink chair, a pink table, a pink telephone, a pink shower– everything was pink! What color were the stairs?

There weren’t any stairs, it was a one story house!
Silly!

Ha! That brings back memories of trying to write a good chess program in PASCAL back in high school. Never did get it to work, but then again I was never more than marginally passable in chess. Besides, I had much more interest in other sorts of games...

Back in the day, when I first went to college, I had to take FORTRAN. Later, I took PASCAL. I remember thinking, "Why did they make us learn that outdated, ......ed version of BASIC known as FORTRAN when we could have been learning something useful like PASCAL?!"

And so I give you....Pascal's Tree (okay -- Triangle, but close enough)!

Wow you guys are deep. If it looks mathematical in nature I tend to run the opposite direction. Today's good I took the kids to cost grammy and poppa, I think they'll stay the night. So momma and I will get a break. My poor wife needs it I think she's got a chest cold so I'm gonna nurse her and work on a few coil builds.

Mathematics deep? Nerdy, perhaps, but far from approaching the meaning of life. Now, if you want "deep," may I direct you to @warpedone's sesquipedalian poetry in post #149? :)

I'm going to go run some errands and then get back to working on my pixel shader...

Guess I'll start tossing in an occasional real post/entry.

Yesterday I pulled out the other laptop that had been used regularly but not on the net for over 4 years - wouldn't find the updates that I knew were out there. Did a bit of research today and found a few things - a quick check of the system showed it wasn't a couple things so went to the easy recommendation that has had positive results - reboot. There are now 233 updates downloading. I think it's gonna take awhile to do all of them.
