I used to have an old Ford truck and I remember my Dad teaching that the catch for the door latch made for a perfect bottle opener.
Oh, I remember those!!! Uh, does that mean we are really oldt? My current Furd truck can't open a bottle...

Well, G'nite TreeFam! Catch y'all on the morrow...

Welcome to ECF @SuzieQT001 Check out this neat contest thread where you can win some really good e-liquid just by chatting with the great folks who hang out here (see complete "rules" on page 1). Lots of fun here! Nicest people on the forum and you just might learn a thing or twelve... :)

I tend to use a lot of older sayings and phrases when I talk. This past Easter, at a family BBQ, I asked one of my "younger", only 5 years younger, cousins to pass me the "church key". He had no clue to what I was talking about, he was looking around the picnic table for a set of car keys

5/20 - 1: Good morning all, time to roll:
    T.G.I.F.!!! tigg's glad it's Friday! FOW!!

I'm 52 and don't know what you mean...
Church Key: a small metal device with a triangular point at one end for punching holes in cans and a rounded edge at the other end for removing bottle caps.

vaping taking the car would be much faster. Four of the last five days have been cloudy, rainy, drizzly, foggy and all manner of invigorating goodness; hoping for another.

Time to go play the game, choosing to win today.

See you on the flip side, have a good one all.

Edit: Fuzzy "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth." LOL okay later.

Good morning treefam. At work and happy it's gonna be a regular day today. Being stuck in front of a computer in a dark room with no windows yesterday for 8 hours of training made for a really long day. Sometimes I feel like I need a break from customers, but after a day like yesterday, I think I would rather deal with customers.

@Vaping!!!Jables if you are running to work, you got way too much energy for this time of day.

    Have a great day everyone.

Good morning, everyone. I haven't heard the term "church key" in years, but I knew what it was. I didn't learn that sort of logo from my parents, though. They immigrated from Europe, so a lot of the Americanisms were lost on them. And my mother's Austrian accent was so thick (although I never really realized it growing up) that I pronounced the word "wax" as "vax" until kids laughed at me in 7th grade. (Hmm.... maybe that's why I got into computers....)

That's definitely true. I had the energy I just don't know where it went. I'm at break just vaping and thinking where it all went wrong. Anywhoo I'll check in later today.

yep, Americanisms are lost on non-Americans...lol. I used to have a Finnish GF and we had a minor disagreement about something trivial until I said "Let's drop it, it's like beating a dead horse" Fireworks quickly ensued! She thought I was calling her a horse, why would I want to beat her..... of course I'm trying to explain what it meant, but I'm chuckling at the same time, which just made her even more mad  It took a little while, but she calmed down and kinda got it was just an expression, but she didn't like that expression at all.

She would tell me about Finnish sayings, which sounded real nice in Finnish, but made no sense in English, so it made us even
