I found out last night that my daughter's boyfriend has a Noisy Cricket mod. He seems to understand the danger and safety precautions though. I (mostly) hope he doesn't blow himself up.

I have heard some things about the noisy cricket. Seems like it made its way into the hands of some inexperienced users. I personally wouldn't want one, as I have never used a mechanical mod. I would be the guy that blew himself up. I will stick to my regulated mods for now.

Speaking of that I have been hearing of alot of dripboxes catching on fire.. When not in use and alot with the buttons sticking.. Makes me a little nervous because me and my fiance each have one.. And we both LOVE our dripboxes.. My button never so hopefully I should be good

As I was catching up I noticed many other Treefam members not sleeping well either......It's always amazing how things happen at certain times to many of us at once........I too was up late and in the middle of the night both last night & the night before....that's why I slept till noon yesterday...........

It's actually been nice here for a couple days.....60's and cool with some showers.....so I have been able to workout....
and Yes Mandikay I notice things like that too.....and often wonder if it's something we see here on the thread....I know sometimes there are those photos that make you stare into them to see...but I don't usually look at them.......but in case you want to....here you go....

Seems I only managed one post again yesterday. The sun was shining and the wind was light and I stood outside trying to think what I could do with this stupid sling on my arm, then decided maybe I could prune some of those trees in the dog yard - the ones that keep trying to knock me off the mower every time I get close to them. I grabbed the pruning shears and realized I could not operate those, so I stood there scratching my head and remembered the ancient Fiskars limb saw (nasty teeth, curved blade) and I could operate that one-handed. So that's where I spent my afternoon... sawing sawing sawing... then dragging the pieces to the "future kindling" pile. Nice outside again today, so I think I'm gonna see how well I can steer a lawn mower with one hand.

It's amazing how much we take for granted the use of 2 hands.......I am so sorry this happened to you Fuzzy......you are one of those who would consider using duct tape or Velcro on your palm to hold a tool if your finger was broken....good luck with the driving....

I love my Fiskars and am using it as I slowly prune the magnolia which is taking over my house as well as my neighbors. The tree is now 41 years old (I remember planting it) and has luckily been a slow grower but this spring it put out new shoots like crazy.
