Takin' a break from forkin' horse sheet and saw the "hot" comments and thought maybe a few of you math lovers (tee hee) would appreciate this. It's the formula for calculating heat index ("feels like" temperature)

T=Temperature in degrees F, RH=Relative Humidity in percent
Heat Index = -42.379 + (2.04901523 x T) + (10.14333127 x RH) - (0.22475541 x T x RH) - (6.83783 x 10^-3 x T^2) - (5.481717 x 10^2 x RH^2) + (1.22874 x 10^-3 x T^2 x RH) + (8.5282 x 10^-4 x T X RH^2) - (1.99 x 10^-6 x T^2 x RH^2)

So all that boils down to, if it is 90 degrees with 65% RH, it "feels like" 102.7 F. Wasn't that fun? :D

Tigger, anything over 107, heat exhaustion is likely. Anything over 130, heat stroke is likely. Be wary amigo...

I bet there's a simpler "approximation" formula.
The "simple" way is to open your search engine and type in HEAT INDEX CONVERTER and find a site to let the computer do it all. But that one refuses to allow any temperature under 80 to be input. Oh well...

Back to work now. Later...

Yes & I think it's free slushy day for them............but I have no interest in such things.............haha...

I made a slushy yesterday (or maybe it was part smoothie) and it turned out pretty good so I went to the store and got me some more stuff so that I can make more later.

It's hit that 90 degrees with 65% RH, it "feels like" 102.7 F here a few time and folks complain about how hot and sticky it is - I find it fairly comfortable even if it is a bit dry.
I'm used to 90 degrees with 90% RH, it "feels like" 122 F.

Lunch time check in from W on M day. Seems like a mostly decent day here so that's good.

I went to clean and rewick my kayfun lite last night to put the Marshmallow in I won and ... broke the tank! Aargh! Not happy about that! I guess I can dig the metal tank out but I like the clear plastic one better.

Catch y'all later.

I may have a couple spare kayfun plastic colored tanks. Until I got my subtank I used a kayfun for about 2 years. Their for the older original models. PM if you can use them and I'll check to see if I can find them.

I can't really complain about the weather here today... although they say we'll have a "warm up" (of about 5 degrees or so) starting tomorrow--oh no, the high might reach 80 along the coast!

Good night, Treefam!
You're soo bad! :sneaky:
7/11 - 5: We are to have six straight days of 103, which usually means 106-107. Found a place that is allowing me to binge watch The Walking Dead and catch up.
:tumble:
 Stay safe!

High 80's all week here, better than 90's, but not by much. :tumble:

Good Night / G'Mornin' and Good Vibes Tree Fam!

Good morning all, something I came across and interesting.

Okay so my editor and I have been talking and we both agree that though we know who Katz, Blue and Anjel are in the story, to the general public that will not work, it needs to be more normal names, like Bob, Lisa, things that are familiar. So a couple of things, I am to rewrite TIOA, yes rewrite it, then she will and she will again.

The change of names is going to be critical, I think Angel if fine, it is the stories name. Darlin is okay for a young lady, but not a grown up. So I will choose names in time, but will give each of you about a week to respond by PM or here.

So all get this message @Uncle @Fuzzy Thunderbear @anjelvape77 @Amlowe @jpf880 @liblue1 @KatzWh1skers @Mandikay (Though I believe Mandi would be a great name in the book) @ThaFuzz @angelphyre Oh and let us not forget @glassmanoak (Only listed as GMO and his juice in the book) Myself included, did I miss anyone? Yup like always @CountBoredom @mac63 @Roadtrip635 I think that is all. Sorry.
:tumble:
See I know I have and @rangerrobin
