@CountBoredom - just a little tip for you (coming from working in the legal field and with law enforcement and courts) no law enforcement agency will call you to tell you that you have warrants and ask for more info from you...they will just show up at your door if it's serious enough, and yes you're absolutely right, if you are supposed to appear in court they have to subpoena you and have proof that you actually received that subpoena. Also, and I know you know this, never give any information to anyone over the phone claiming to be from any kind of government agency or such...for one, they don't call you. They send a letter as a point of contact...and if you do receive such a call, you tell them that you will have to call them back and then find their legitimate contact info and call them to see if it's legit. Now of course if you just want to mess around with them and jerk their chain, then by all means, go for it...that's always fun!

Thanks, Angel. Those were my thoughts as well... but that niggling 0.1% doubt made me keep them on the phone until I could have my wife confirm by phone. To tell you the truth, it was more tedious than fun because I had to keep asking for more info.

@CountBoredom these scams are getting ridiculous lately. We had one recently call and telling my husband he owes back taxes from a few years back.. We were pretty darn sure it was a scam so he kept them on the phone while I went online on the irs website and read that there was a scam going on and if anyone got a phone call it definitely wasn't the irs because they will not call you they send mail and by this time the person on the line was telling my husband the cops were on the way to arrest him if he doesn't pay now, so my husband preceded to tell him that his wife had already called the cops because of this scam phone call so they most definitely won't be coming to arrest me, but you on the other hand... The man hung up right about there lol

My guy pretty much hung up when I turned to my wife and asked what the sheriff's office said. I'd heard about the IRS scam--and I'd heard about similar scams regarding arrest warrants, but they stories I heard were always more about missing jury duty--which, ironically, is more believable since in that case you could actually miss something in the mail.

Angel, hope your head clears up soon. Today is the first day in weeks that mine has not felt full of cotton. I was told 3 weeks and 3 weeks it is. Should be back to normal by the end of the weekend. But there is still a nap or 2 on the to do list.
Dale, keep taking those antibiotics until the end.
Count you have more patience than I dealing with the scammers. Even if I was yanking their chain I could not stay on the phone that long. Is your mother settling into the rehab facility?
Katz - hope your unmentionable has recovered. I left a thermometer on the counter last week and all I have been able to find since is the battery and the cover. Plus there still seems to be an incredible, imaginary (as far as I can tell) unknown in the heating vent.
Jpf hope your wife is recovering well.
Blue, hope the new job is working out well and that the new opportunity turns out to be more what you would like.
I ran out of good coffee and wish I could get the store to open now. The not so good coffee is just not so good. I'm even considering running out to Starbucks.
I know I have missed much of what's happening with folks but hope today is an upswing for everyone.

3am seems to be a theme. That's the first time I was awake. At least I got back to sleep after the third time I was up too. Actually got a couple more hours.

Been up a while and got a couple things done. Now off to run errands.

No good sleep last night, ive been up since 4am, abscess still hurts, appointment today at 215 to hopefully get some stiffer meds than ibuprofen. vape mail is in, kids in this evening. last night my son head butted me in my cheek where im all swolen and i screamed and cried . Next thing you know its me, my 1yr old boy, and 3yr old daughter all screaming and crying. Cleaned 10 650sqft+ units worth of carpet too,it was a rough day yesterday . not trying to whine, just needed to vent a little. i hope yall are ok, prayers thoughts and positive vibes to all those in need.

..in my experience ..if they are griping and giving you an earful, they are doing better...it's when ma gets real quiet and compliant that I worry .
Well, Mac..I guess it makes sense...after you've lived someplace for that long, your body just KNOWS when it's on it's way home ..back to the way it should be.

I've been there, @ThaFuzz--not the abscess part, but definitely the kids causing pain. I think children are secretly delighted to cause their parents pain--until they realize that it can be all to real.

I'm actually staying home this weekend...still trying to get over this crud. This will be the first weekend I've been home without having family visit or the granddaughter in a long time...will be nice to be able to just relax in my own home for a change.

Stocked up on coffee beans from Peru, Tanzania, Sumatra, and Costa Rica. Can't wait for the morning but where to start.
I love that store but it is in a shopping area that has horrible parking.
Managed a nap this afternoon. Still a bit of a cough and runny nose but am feeling better.
