Well I had to leave work early again today! Today was my daughters first day back at school since the whole issue last week, so I sent her to school with her phone, yeah I know I'm not supposed to but it made me feel better. Well I called the school this morning and the principal was really busy and going to have to return my call... I waited a bit and no call back, naturally I was getting a bit frustrated. I was about to call the school back again when I got a text from my daughter. She was in the bathroom hiding again, which breaks my heart, so I asked her what happened and she said everyone was calling her names and throwing stuff at her in 5th hour and the teacher wasn't doing anything she said she couldn't take it anymore so she packed her bag and started to walk out the classroom and someone screamed Awww the baby is going hide in the bathroom again, maybe she will kill herself this time. And the teacher still did nothing, she ran into the bathroom and got in a stall and text me what was going on so I left work and went straight there, I pulled up and there were 3 cop cars.. I ran in thinking something happened to my baby of course but it had nothing to do with her, some other students were getting arrested so naturally the principal was too busy with that to talk to me again! I was furious and said that somebody needed to talk to me asap! So I told the lady in the office what was going on and how the teacher just allows it and she said she didn't know what she could do but change my daughters schedule. So I told her to do that right now and I still want to talk to the principal today. And I told her if I don't get a call today I will be back again in the morning and I will be calling the superintendent. This is ridiculous and there is no excuse for this to go on this long. No child deserves to feel this way :'(

Sorry y'all I just had to vent for a second.. I'm just frustrated.

Sorry Mandi...what a mess.....
I am home for the day.....I secured some hours for tomorrow night.....but still not sure what's going to happen about everything else.....I am waiting for the landlord to co,e to the office and discuss the situation with her........

@Mandikay Superintendent should be called today. The principal hold be talked to today. Your child has put up with enough abuse . I can tell you I know what it's like, my youngest went through a lot of the same. My Prayers are with you and her.

@jpf880 are you purposely not numbering and dating your posts? Mandi, like I said nothing is going to happen, my girls went under that abuse; time to lawyer up........ past time to lawyer up..... even with a reschedule, the same students will be there, and the same teachers and staff who allow it to happen. Get her out, and send to another school or home teach...... This is called terror, it is a crime; the failure of most is to understand that cops come after the fact, after........ Get her out of that school and sue them.......

@Mandikay, forgive me for looking at things with the glass half-full (trying to be positive is one of my coping mechanisms for dealing with things these days), but at least the police weren't there for your daughter. Others are right, of course: there is no excuse for allowing such behavior against your daughter and your are perfectly justified in being furious.

Oh--and please feel free to vent! That is, after all, one of the reasons we're a family...

Thanks for the advice everyone. Well superintendent it is, I am frustrated, once again the principal never returned my call. It's just so infuriating, I'm thinking so very hard about pulling her out of school and home schooling. The whole reason we moved here from New Orleans was to get the kids in better schools, seems like that backfired.

Well time to get ready for trick or treating, hopefully that will up the spirits around here

@Mandikay , go SEE the Superintendent immediately. As a teacher, we are LEGALLY obligated to report and deal with bullying and abusive behavior. Mention getting a lawyer and news media involved if you have to get their attention.

Good morning everyone. Didn't sleep well, too much on my mind I guess. My daughter is so depressed from all this she wouldn't even go trick or treating last night
Zipslack, Im glad your day got better. Thank you so much for your advice, I'm definitely going to the superintendent today, it really bothers me that this teacher isn't reporting this or even stopping it. From my understanding he was a pe couch for the last 2 years and this is his first year in the classroom but that's no excuse to let this go on in my eyes. It's the worst feeling in the world to not be able to be there to protect your child and I refuse to let her keep going through this. I can just see the hurt and pain in her eyes :'(

Well on a better note, I have been thinking alot about my job lately... Honestly it's so boring. It's just not something I enjoy. I would love to work with animals, I am thinking of trying to get on at one of the pet stores as a groomers assistant and trying to work my way up to groomer. Neither of our pet stores have opened back up since the flood but when they do I've really been thinking of going for it. I know I would be taking a pay cut but I think it would be worth it to enjoy my job still gotta lot of thinking to do, but it's definitely on my mind.
