Mmm... a Thanksgiving dinner post-Thanksgiving. I can get behind that!
The mall by my house wasn't too bad. Pulled up at 8 am (2 hours after the mall opened) and parked right out in front. I entertained my son while my wife went clothes shopping with my daughter. When it was my son's turn came, we spent about 15 minutes: only picked up a pair of pants and a short--the rest just wasn't that good. We had an early lunch, checked out a few other stores, and then left at about 1 pm. By then, people were circling like vultures for parking spaces... Too bad for the mall, though. They've been expanding, but the newly-constructed parking structure is only 98% complete and is right next to more construction. Mall management decided that they didn't want customers being subjected to the "unsightly" construction (not that anyone could miss it) and only allow employees of
certain stores (i.e. the bigger ones that probably paid for the privilege) to park there--no customers. That means that customers have to fight and claw for parking in the few lots that remain open, while some 600+ spots go to employees (who, previously, had been parking off-site and taking a shuttle).
