@wvducklady Glad Duddy is going to be okay. I always thought a pet duck would be nice. :)

Goodnight Treefam. Happy dreams of shiny things and have a good Thursday.

:) Ducks are pretty fun! If you ever get a duck make sure you get at least 2. Ducks are very social creatures, and they should never be alone :)

Wishing Duddy a speedy recovery :nun: That was kind of you to hunt for Duddy. Reminds me of all the times my bros and I would go out digging up the compost pile for night crawlers ....or soaking the lawn with hot soapy water...never giving a thot that fish prob dont like soapy worms
I would give the fish a worm before turning it loose after catching it ...figuring it's poor lil mouth was prob sore ....I was not catching them to eat (too small) ...in other words...sport fishing

Good morning all. Still barely morning here.

M day on hump day or is that day after hump day. Now I'm all confused, LOL!

Haven't been fishing in years myself. Used to do it fairly regularly. It was relaxing back then.

Hope everyone has a good day and if I ever get a duck, I'll get two. :)

Catch ya later all.

Fishing, something i haven't done in a long time. I think I need to get back to doing some fishing this summer. Those were some of the most relaxing evenings I had.
....:thumb: ...to each their own "aromatic therapy"
..those are some of my best memories of growing up ...my Dad getting us kids up way early before school and going out fishing ...I can still smell the "fish in the water" smell...:)

I know what you mean about memories Katz. I think we spent nearly every friday and saturday night on the riverbank or by a creek somewhere when i was growing up. I think maybe next year i might get my oldest a fishing pole and teach her to fish.

:thumb:...They have these cute lil starter fishing poles at Walmart :)...for like $5 ....(I use them for cat toys since mine came with a plastic fish on the end of the line :) )
..just so you know (and I think I have told this fish tail to the other TreeFam before  )...Dad used to take Ma along...but she quickly tired of constantly having to "bait" the hook for 3 little kids ...(so then she quit coming along altogether:() ...then the sibling fishing ensued...snagging one another by the ears (by accident of course  )with our immature casting skills  ...followed by the hook from finger removal rite of passage  ...so that plastic fish may just be the ticket to spending quality fish time with Daddy :D ...and don't forget the bobber! The bobber is mezmerizing! :thumb:
We can address other issues..like...how to get your girls past the "touching a live flailing slimey thing with needles for fins " stage ..it's called a fishing glove :D ..but we aren't there yet

I agree @DaleH1985 It's not nice but it could definitely be worse! One of those days you're glad you work inside!

Six hours to go and then day 2 is done. Not feeling it today so glad it's slow so far.

Hope the day is treating everyone well. Catch ya later!

126 - 2: Have only been fishing four or five times, desert here and the big bodies of water are about two hours drive any direction. Yes remember the fish in the water smell well. Once on a three week vacation to Colorado, I tried and tried, but best I came to the fish jumped out of the water and took the bait off the hook. Along comes another fisherman "fly" fishing I was amazed he did not hook himself, and caught fish after fish.

Saw something today that I have not seen in these parts for almost 30 years, called a devil's head or devil's horn. A plants seed with two long hooks to grab onto big animals and be carried long distances and dropped. Saw four of them.

That's cool @tiggerrts I've never even seen one in a picture before. I need to Google and see what the plant looks like.

Didn't really do anything here at W today. All cleaned up and killing the next 3 hours. Already know tomorrow won't be so slow, LOL.

Hope everyone is having a nice evening. Catch ya later!

No but we will be back for two weeks so can pick them up.....

Could not find the video of the funny thing so. Titled How to trick an apprentice. A man hands a young man a shovel and tells him they need to dig up this tree stump. The young man goes at the ground, but it small COPYRIGHTDMCA and rocks so each strike goes in shallow. He keeps at it and after about the sixteenth strike with the shovel, he Knicks the tree stump and it falls over. Made of plastic. His first clue should have been that they were filming him, second clue should have been they were in a park and thus the tiny COPYRIGHTDMCA in the playground, and third the small stump was inside the wooden barrier.

Grew up fishing and would go every chance I got. Went quite a bit wherever I was stationed in the Corps. It continues to this day. Only been a couple times since I got here but haven't had much free time. Don't feel like spending the money for a license so I go to a friends place where he has pond.

1/26 - 4: Well a view of how far anything has been from us and why the wind has been so brutal. Today 9 yards of concrete, twice the last amount. No no, take the skid loader with the blade up front and take down those four and five foot mounds of dirt, the cement driver is taking the curb and coming up close. Made it a lot easier on us, and a quarter of the time.... Still had to dig a lot though.

And the joke so do not read if politics/religion gets to you.
A Jewish woman gets married and tells her husband to help with the house chores, for three days nothing happens; she holds out on him so on the fourth day she comes home and the house is clean and he is cooking dinner for two.
A Christian woman gets married and tells her husband to help with the house chores, for three days nothing happens; she holds out on him so on the fourth day she comes home and the house is clean and he is cooking dinner for two.
A Muslim woman gets married and tells her husband to help with the chores, she comes home for three days and nothings has happened, on the fourth day nothing still is done as the swelling goes down.
