I found this .."INDIAN tobacco 1oz Liquid Extract - Pure Herbs".. on Ebay ...is this something that we could use for flavor without harming the Attomizer???

I emailed the seller of this product to ask if it was for ingesting and what was in it, this is what they said:

Yes it is for ingesting

Lobelia (Indian tobacco) 38% neutral grain spirits/distilled water.

That's funny because Lobelia is poisonous, and although a herbal remedy you have to be careful about how much you take.

Not sure Kate- I think all glycerin is derived from veggie stuff & it's probably the same stuff- but ya might just wanna pick up the stuff that says food grade just to be sure- the stuff I got is 99.9% glycerin, & I think that's abotu as pure as it gets

another note- the glycerin helps keep things moist without being too thin, so I believe addign a dab on the steel mesh help keep it just moist enough to work nicely without being so thin as to run down into battery

I've got Glycerin B.P (Glycerol) and it says:

Active Ingredient
Each 5ml of liquid contains Glycerol 100% v/v

Think this is as pure as it gets lol :)

I've never tried it myself so I don't know for sure but I read somewhere a while back that McCormicks flavourings clogged atomisers. This might not be reliable so if you've had no trouble maybe it's ok.

It would be worth checking ingredients for oils, sugars and colourings, they might cause problems.
I've been using McCormicks Vanilla,Orange,Raspberry and Lemon for the past three days and,So far not a single problem.
If I start having failures I'll update.

So I bought some Heritage Vegetable Glycerin from Whole Foods Market today, just to try this whole thing out... I'm a little intrigued by it all and wanted to give it a shot. 5 bucks for 120ml isn't bad anyway I figure. They didn't have what I've been looking for, more specifically "Food Grade," but I'm under the impression that this stuff will be fine. The contents say USP Grade Pure Vegetable Glycerin and the use says to place a few drops of herbal remedy in 3/4 oz of water and add 1tsp of VG for a slightly sweet base... To me this translates into "Internally safe." Any comments on this? Also, it's kinda thick, more so than the Totally Wicked eLiquid I've got. Any thoughts/comments?

It sounds safe cad. TW (as most eliquid) is made with PG, which is thinner than VG, so what you have sounds normal.

There certainly is. I got my 24mg TW Marlboro and LorAnn flavours through yesterday so I made my first batch of DIY liquid. I have a set of ink cartridge filling syringes which are perfect for mixing the juice. I have some 5ml squeezy bottles and some empty Janty 10ml bottles to hold the liquid.

Anyhow my recipe was

4ml of TW Marlboro 24mg
2ml of glycerin
1ml of LorAnn English Toffee flavour.

That, by my calculations, makes about a 13.7mg liquid.

Mmmmm, that's a nice vape!

so with glycerine, u wanna just add a drop into the atomizer when vaping right? is there a way to mix it in with ur normal ejuice so I dont have to carry 2 seperate bottles with me?

If too much thickness due to VG in mixes is bad for the atomizer, wouldn't dripping straight VG directly on it be even worse?

I would imagine Sunshyn that the thicker the liquid(e.i VG),the harder your atomizer has to work to burn it off.Probally better to mix it with distilled water or some other "thinner"(Vodka I have heard here is ok),liquid for dripping:) The Wiz!

Just to clarify. Here at my local grocery store there is Glycerin USP labeled as an "Emollient. For External Use Only."

When used in food, care should be taken to use only pure vegetable glycerin that is specifically labeled for use in food. "External use only" warnings should be heeded.
