I absolutely will danny. I'm going to put a 30ml non-barrel sample to the side for the exact same amount of time.

Since you have helped me along the way and you would have an unbiased opinion on the samples I am going to mail you one 15ml bottle of both the barrel steeped and non-barrel steeped juices so you can voice your opinion here for everyone.

When it's ready I will PM you and grab a ship to address from you. I hope you enjoy them and we all will be looking forward to your opinion on the oak barrel steeping. I'll give my honest opinion the day I try it and ship it to you. Thank you

I would absolutely love to try it. As a tobacco vaper what your doing is tempting me to try this myself but I am going to wait for your results first. What you come up with will help guide my attempt at it.

Ok that is the plan then. So I dipped into samples #2,3, 4 and 5 and man even if the barrel doesn't give it some flavor, #2 is really good as is. You get the sweet from the maple and vanilla upfront and right after exhale comes the good throat hit toasted almond and tobaccos to even things right out. Now I'm truely excited to get this steeping tomorrow.

If Danny can't keep his caps separate then just send the samples to me :p

We're all tobacco connoisseurs in this thread ;);)

How about I send you 15ml of both the barrel reserve and non for being my kind of vaper. Man I love a lightly sweet tobacco. Then we have 2 unbiased opinions. Done deal.

Forgot to post a picture of the barrel so here you go. Juice is going in for a 3 week steep today. The barrel has been sterilized and soaked to swell so there is no leaking for 2 days. Ready to go.

Heck yeah Muggs, thanks brother.

That barrel is a thing of beauty, even if it doesn't help it's a nice conversation piece and a great place to store whiskey.

190ml of 74.04pg/25.96vg 18mg is now in the barrel which has a nice medium char inside and will steep for 3 weeks (Maybe 2 cause I can't wait that long). Both dannyv45 and f1vefour are going to get a 15ml bottle of both the barrel steeped and non-barrel steeped reserve. Guys I have also bottled your non-barrel samples right before filling the barrel to keep the steeping times exact. You will both get special caps for each.

I'll PM both of you when they are ready. I'll send them out to you that day and I hope you enjoy.

That has nice color already, which flavoring was so dark?

When it's in the light it's a nice golden brown, kind of a dark picture but it does have a rich color so far.

The Maple Rum Tobacco is almost black and the brown sugar and madagascar vanilla are very dark as well as the medium brown toasted almond actually. The coumarin pipe tobacco and east coast tobacco are relatively light in color.

Edit: BTW I don't think I can wait 3 weeks, haha. Being it's a new barrel I'm thinking 2 weeks will do the trick. What do you guys think?

Being a new barrel without having anything aged in it the flavor should show up quickly one would think.

Good things come to those who wait:)

Being as the barrel is charred already, I think you should age a nice Bourbon in it for a couple years first.....:laugh::laugh:
