Haha, yes it did, I'll be good. The hardest part is it's about 10 feet away from me for about 7 hours a day.

The comparison samples that aren't in the barrel look so golden brown delicious. I have been vapipng my own bottle of the non-barrel and it's so good as is. I can only imagine what this barrel and time are going to do for it. We shall see.

Oh it's no problem man I can't wait for you to load it up and take that first pull. You get the maple brown sugar and vanilla sweet and the tobacco is very present toward the end. Such a cool transition it takes care of my sweet and tobacco cravings. Yeah it's a great mellow toasted almond flavor in the backgreound.

I just opened the barell just so I could at least smell it and I'm telling you it smells like a mellow whiskey in there hahaha not kidding. I guess it goes with the territory. So this Thursday will mark 1 week in the barell.

Seriously though, I'm all ears here. I've been curious about the whole barrel aging thing myself.
I've oak-aged several homebrews... some with stellar results, others not so much, but never in barrels.

You know what I'm afraid of Muggs, I'm afraid I'm going to fall in love and won't be able to get more.

At least you will have an awesome recipe, I'm almost certain that it's going to be a stellar vape.

How are you going to filter it when it comes time?

I have a cone shape stainless steel mesh liquids strainer that I will pour through from the barell spout. Just in case.

Those Oak Infusion Spiral packs are very interesting. Kind of like the oak chips concept but cleaner.

you'll then notice the difference an extra week would make

your excuse would be science!

I like the way you think my friend. In the name of science it is then. I'll have to wait untill danny and f1 post their thoughts to post my thoughts. They are getting barrel steeped and non barrel steeped with colored caps that only I know so we can see how the barrel affects the juice with 2 different unbiased opinions.

The pull date is Thursday February 6th.
