State of Confusion
i was born in the 80s BUT will say, toys of any sophisitication may have sucked then lol BUT they at least were quality, I love going to auctions getting toy guns made of metal for my nephew instead of these crap plastics

Interesting comment. I wasn't even thinking about guns. I wasn't allowed to have guns, toy or otherwise, but then family members who die by gunfire tends to mold the rules a bit in specific instances. But mostly, from what I remember those were real guns....

One thing you have to keep in mind: In China they use and test these products with a thinner based juice and wicking doesn't pose as much of a problem there - so they have a pretty good experience with their product before they ship - they aren't shipping an intentionally bad or faulty product. This is one item that can be very subjective.

There are many many variables in the vaping experience. You are taking glycol and water based fluid and trying to apply it to a heating/atomizing element in a consistent, and as much as possible, automatic fashion. Your success is contingent also on the voltage applied from your personal vaping machine and the ohms resistance of the heating element (atomizer).

Yes if you had an American company, say a Philip Morris, et. al., doing this, you would have hundreds of millions of dollars thrown into research and you may have a better out of the box experience. What we do have though is relatively inexpensive products that for the most part work well, some out of the box, some with personal tweaking solutions, some with tweaking applied from the collective wisdom and experience of the vaping community.

Just seems like we the paying public are being used as test subjects for all these products. Then the companies wait for are feedback to make improvements, just doesn't seem rite.
Maybe its the fast moving market.

I do tell people or post about bad products(Gotvapes juice, sry guys) . I think people should know, and I hope others will keep doing the same.

The general public is always being used as test subjects. To a certain extent manufacturers can test products, but there's only so much testing that can be done before they release things into the wild and see what really happens. This is why we have recalls. Things behave differently at 2,000 feet above sea level than they do at sea level, people react and behave differently from person to person and no testing solution is perfect, especially in a lab. Sometimes things just need a tweak or two in the factory to improve upon them. Cars are a good example. Never buy the initial run of a car, that's what I've always been told. When a manufacturer comes out with a new model let others test it if you're not willing to deal with the headaches. That's just life.

HI micup, i do understand if you dont like the juice but to call it bad because it wasn't to your liking kind of makes it seem as if our whole product line is bad versus you just not liking the particular flavor, we get hundreds of emails every few weeks about people raving about our flavors. If a specific flavor wasn't for you let us know and we can have you try something that might be more to your liking

if you can let us know what you didnt like about the juice, the base or flavoring that woul go a long way in helping me improve it with the advice you give.

Chris and Dan and if anyone else with Gotvapes,
I have and will continue to buy from you. You have a good thing going on there.

And I would never imply to anyone not to buy your juices, I just tell them that they may like them, but for me they had absolutely no TH. I purchased your sampler a few weeks back. I just dumped it all down the drain. I did post this awhile back also.

I agree with you Dan the Chinese do not test there products like we would do here in the US. And of course if they did I'm sure the price would be much higher.

mikecup and all, it is important to provide feedback to the retailers, both positive and negative. Without this exchange of information and the subsequent advancements afforded by it what would we be still vaping? I find that Chris and Dan have been a fine example of how to do business with and stay connected to the end user. My hats off to them. I wish that every supplier would do business this way. The improvements that have been made and the innovations that have come to the vaping community are a direct result of this type of collaboration.
There are some things that are better left said via PM rather than on the forum. If there have been problems with equipment and hardware it is important to share the experiences that you have had with everyone. I still have an X-atty that I would love to get to work at all and have been in collaboration with others to see if this can happen. I still can't get it to work but had I been successful I would have also shared that info with GotVapes and the community. The DOA X-atty was taken care of by Bad and Danno promptly. Perhaps it will have improvements made and be introduced again. My public feedback was, I believe, there for the public and GotVapes to know. There is nothing subjective about an inoperable atty and there is relatively little subjectivity regarding TH. Is is important to know if a juice provided has no TH for the obvious reasons.
We all need to keep the lines of communication open and realize that without this free exchange of info we would not have the great products we enjoy today. We also have to not take things personally and be mindful that the printed word lacks inflection and tone so important to effective communication. We all need to be cognizant of what we say and how we say it when we type away and at the same time understand that some things people write may not have come across as intended. I think we all really appreciate what is shared here on this forum and I am grateful for the info I have acquired and the opportunity to share.
I'm Just sayin' & I've said enough!
P.S. NEVER dump juice down the drain, that's what the PIF thread is for! Now I'm really done sayin... don't try and stop me... I'm gone... really... g'nite.

No problems Mike. I wasn't directing that at you in particular but just reflectign on overall expectations of everyone in general on what the e-cig out-of-the-box expereince should be : )

Mikecup i do remember now, it wasnt the flavor and more of a throat hit issue, Got it, I did try to up the throat hit and it wasnt accepted well so i went back the original recipe. Some said the newer one with more of a throat hit was clogging attys so I removed it. You live and you learn, lol and slowly but surely im learning.

I will have a new batch of base this week with a new formula and more kick in the throat in the Th department, Once its tested I will send you some to sample and give us the feedback.

wow I missed one heck of a shin-dig! just to re-iterate they do post bad feedback as well as good and are the most transparent company I've come across. I pm a bad review once on the smart carts and they threw it right up on the forum. then I pmed them that they didn't have to do that and they told me that it was ok because similar feedback like that will help them master their products. Also Juice is the HARDEST to review out of the entire ecig world. My roomate hated one flavor cause it tasted "burnt"... well it was. he had a thick liquid in the lucid cart and didn't make the holes a little bigger so it would wick better. others hate a whole bottle because it was exposed to sunlight too long and spoiled. I believe eliquid should be heavily reviewed, with some standards. I didn't like _________ because the _________ didn't taste enough like the real thing= good review. I hated_________ it tasted terrible= needs a lot of improvement. there's my rant, a day late but oh well.

Debuting the e-Power Replacable Battery eGo kit at GotVapes - Including 2 long-lasting 14650 1050mah batteries!

AVAILABLE NOW - DEBUT SPECIAL AT ONLY $48.95 for a LIMITED TIME

epower_640.png

e-Power eGo Kits : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

Form marries function beautifully in this brand new fresh-off-the-factory-floor kit that combines a gorgeous sleek eGo form factor that is SOLIDLY built and available at GotVapes in stainless steel, titanium and black.

The eGo e-Power is a three piece unit consisting of a tube, PCB switch assembly with blue LED, and cone. Each of these items is serviceable and replaceable. It is shipped with two fully-charged high quality 14650 1050mah batteries that can easily give you all day vaping. These are excellent quality batteries, packaged with pride in these kits (although they fully charged from the factory it is recommended to charge them about 3 hours after you receive)

The e-Power comes in very attractive packaging attesting to the pride they took in developing and releasing this brand new product. The replaceable switch assembly is PCB based (printed circuit board) meaning it can provide control logic for your unit that the ordinary momentary switch of the standrd eGo does not. What does this mean? First and foremost it provides a REGULATED 3.7 v experience and warns you if it dips below that by flashing continuously for about 5-6 seconds reminding you to replace the battery. In the near future the e-Power will be avalable with an auto-switch and, because a PCB is already incorporated in the e-Power we are hoping/encouraging a variable voltage switch with thumb wheel may be in the works.

Some of the features of the e-Power Modular Replaceable Battery eGo kit:

  • Sealed 510 connection with venting at the bottom of the unit and around the switch assembly
  • Ceramic painted assemblies that have a gorgeous and quality feel as opposed to standard foil wrapped eGos
  • Each e-Power kit comes standard with a button protector
  • GotVapes is maing available spare parts from day one. You can order extra e-Power kits assemblies.
  • Available in Stainless Steel, Titanium and Black (our black e-Power's will be in in about 4 days).
  • Length with cone 147 mm
  • Width 17 mm (about 3 mm wider than a standard eGo so is therefore not compatible with standard eGo cones and eGo-T cone atomizers)

What you get in a GotVapes e-Power Replaceable Battery eGo kit:

1 Stainless steel, Titanium or black unit consisting of the main tube, PCB switch and cone
2 14650 1050mah protected batteries, fully charged from the factory
2 510 2.5ohm atomizers
5 Tobacco 24mg cartridges in sealed packaging
1 AC Battery charging unit
1 Button Protector to keep the e-Power from going off in clothing, purse, etc...
1 Instruction manual tailored specifically to the e-Power with pertinent photographs of the unit, etc.
Gorgeous Packaging - great for presentation and shows pride of craftsmanship in this product.

Danno & Chris ,

Received my order of the new ce2x clear carto's today and as luck would have it the first one I opened had a cracked tube , so I opened the rest of the clears in this order and only one other one was cracked . The pack that these were sent in were smashed a little and boxes bent up . So I don't think the new tubes are bad it may just be bad handling in shipping . By the way the new wicks are working sooo much better than the old ones . The wicks have been keeping up with my Darwin at 8.5 watts so far and none of the old wicks could do that.

Thank You for All You and Chris Do

John
