I am looking forward to posting this Heron build. It is the best out of 5 for now.

The universal standard for a ferret weight unit is a 10 day old ferret. Converting to the metric system, a 10 day old ferret = 30g.
Heres a handy table:
10 milliferrets (mf) = 1 centiferret (cf) 10 centiferrets = 1 deciferret (df) = 100 milliferrets 10 deciferrets = 1 ferret (f) = 1,000 milliferrets 10 ferrets = 1 dekaferret (daf) 10 dekaferrets = 1 hectoferret (hf) = 100 ferrets 10 hectoferrets = 1 kiloferret (kf) = 1,000 ferrets 1,000 kiloferrets = way too many ferrets (wtmf)
Perseas,
Ever think of offering some sort of a paid subscription to an upgrade plan for your products? Perhaps like a flat fee per product to offer any revisions to the original purchaser within a certain time frame...
Like I was thinking to myself just now, "Wow, I bet shortly after I get this Heron, there will be a v1.5 following it!" LOL

^Nice, but dangerous.
Since the tank section isn't threaded and sits only by pressing against 'O' rings > a slight, sudden &/or chance knock could dislodge it from the deck > and then you had it![]()
Chad,
definitely a great idea, I know that you hypothesized about doing it, and now you've done it
I'll give it a shot when I get my Heron, but the thing that I always loved with the fluff is the fact that you can take that tank off and place it on its side and not worry about the juice leaking out. While a really cool idea on your part, the originally intended design beats it by a few points for convenience![]()
I don't disagree with you. The no fluff is finicky for sure. Just having some fun and seeing what works and what doesn't etc.
I edited the post so it has a few more pictures and is just a bit longer.
As for the tank coming off, I suppose it could happen, but I haven't had any issues yet.
Q, you know you want to try it.... do it......
Already done! But we do not promote.
For one, as mentioned afore. For two, Team-GP hasn't designed the Heron to go without fluff, if it was ~ there'd be 'fill-ports' like the SnP and the section would've been threaded like the Spheroid. And there's a reason for that.
For three, we don't want to encourage ideas which might put the user at some inconvenience at a/ny moment of time (especially the "new at Spheroid/Heron" folks) and then s/he comes back irked & start bashing GP product/s all over the forums - for no fault of the designer or the modding team.
------------------------------------------
Let ye be all known: The Heron is designed as an extension of the overtly successful GP-Spheroid ~ and it's intended to 'hold' juice with a filler material, like the GP-Fluff, so that this duo are the only 100% leak-proof RBA under all weather conditions, including the vagaries of flight and altitude changes√
------------------------------------------
Perhaps Perseas and Team will consider this, but the the systems would need to be designed somehow differently in order to make the rewicking less of a pain.
